Amazing 5 bedroom - 4 Baths Stone House with pool in Gordes - Luberon

Situated in the heart of the Luberon, a few minutes drive from Gordes, one of the most beautiful villages, this 5 bedroom, 4 bathroom property is built from an old stone farm house (sheepfold). It was refurbished with a perfect equilibrium between tradition and modern style. The property can accommodate up to 12 people. You will enjoy the large swimming pool and the garden. The Layout is as follows : You enter the property via a small entrance hall. The living room is to your right and the bedrooms to your left. The spacious living room is furnished with large sofas and a coffee table. There is a working fireplace. Two large sliding bay windows open onto the south exposed terrace and the garden. The open kitchen is equipped with 4 induction plates, an electric oven, an American Standard refrigerator and freezer, a microwave oven and a dishwasher. All necessary cooking utensils are available. The dining area is furnished with a large rectangle dining table. The corridor leads to the bedrooms. The master bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed and has an en-suite bathroom with a tub and a double washbasin. There is a large French door opening onto large terrace and the garden. The second bedroom is furnished with a double bed and also has a door opening onto the garden. A small staircase leads to the third bedroom which is a mezzanine located above the second bedroom (from this bedroom you have a view onto the second bedroom). There is a small window facing east. These 2 bedrooms share a bathroom with a washbasin, a stall shower and a toilet. From the corridor a second elegant staircase lead to a spacious dormitory room with 4 single beds (mattressed on the floor). It is equipped with a TV with DVD player. It is ideal for children. There is a window facing south with a lovely view onto the garden. There is an en-suite shower room with a large washbasin, stall shower and toilet You will find a small laundry room with a washer and dryer in the corridor. There is a separate toilet with washbasin. The fifth bedroom is actually and independent suite, with separated entrance (east part of the house). It is furnished with two twin beds (Queen Size) that can be separated into two separated beds. The window opens onto the garden. The washbasin is in the bedroom. There is an en-suite stall shower and toilet. Outside : ------- In front of the living room is a large shaded terrace with sofas. The other part of the terrace has a nice pergola and an "a la plancha" grill and a dining table. You will enjoy the large swimming pool (with pool shower) in a very private environment and the garden. This amazing property is surrounded by olive trees, oak trees, vineyards, lavender fields and farmland. You will get to Gordes in less than 5 minutes by car. Standing on the edge of the plateau of Vaucluse, Gorges is one of the "in" villages of Luberon where many movies stars and artists have made their home. Its houses of white and gray stone rise up in a spiral around the rock where thevillage is set. At the very top is the church and the castle which face out onto the hills of the Luberon. Due to its privileged position, its exceptional charm and its typical architecture, Gordes has been listed as "one of the most beautiful villages of France". While strolling around the tiny streets which climb up between the tall houses, you will discover here and there beautiful old doorways, arcades and walls of flat stone perfectly restored, and on the other side, there is the panorama of the valley and mountains of Luberon. Once at the top of Gordes, you can see the fortified castle enclosing the city hall and the Pol Para museum (Flemish contemporary painter), The odd village of the "borie" is intriguing. Bories are little round huts built in stone and were at one time used by shepherds or hunters. You will find great restaurants, cafes and shops in the village. But whatever you do, you must not miss the fabulous Abbey of Senanque hidden in the green valley. Cistercian manks still live there producing honey, lavender essence, and liqueurs. The whole twelfth century ediface is open for visits. Nearby are the villages of Roussillon, Saint Saturnin les Apt, Goult, Lacoste, Menerbe and Bonnieux. Being in close proximity to Aix en Provence, Avignon, the Mediterrean, and the ski fields, the property services all requirements for all seasons. There are bike trails, great walking tracks, horse-riding, and tennis courts in the immediate vicinity. There is also a golf course nearby and a provencal market each day somewhere in the valley. With such variety, everyone's tastes can be catered to. Access : --------- The house is in the country so you'll need a car. Rentals can be picked up in Avignon, at the train station or the airport 10 Km from Apt, 50 Km from avignon, 35 km from cavaillon The closest motorway is the A7 (exit Cavaillon or Avignon-Sud). The Avignon train station is served by the TGV (Train Grande Vitesse) that goes to Paris in 2 hours and 40 minutes ! The Avignon airport has daily flights to Paris.
