Comfortable One bedroom in Cannes Centre - Near Rue d'Antibes - 5 mn from Palais des Festivals

This one bedroom / one bathroom apartment of approximately 55 square meters is located on the fourth and last floor of a pre-war building equipped with an elevator and an intercom system. The apartment has an east exposure.
This accommodation is located one block from the Rue d'Antibes and walking distance from the famous Croisette. It sleeps 2 to 4 people and is available for weekly rentals or monthly rentals.
You enter the apartment through a hallway, leading to the bedroom and to the living room.
The living room is furnished with a double size sofa bed, an armchair, a coffee table and a round dining table. There is a small window overlooking the street and a working fireplace.
There is a large screen satellite TV with VCR, DVD and a stereo. A portable A/C system is available.
The open and separate -kitchen is fully equipped with counter-tops and cabinets.
This kitchen is equipped with a stove, 4 electric burners, a microwave, a refrigerator / freezer, a dishwasher and a coffee maker. There is a washing machine and a dryer.
The bedroom has a double size bed, a wardrobe and 2 small windows overlooking the street and a working fireplace.
The en-suite bathroom has a bathtub / shower, a washbasin and a French Bidet.
Toilet is separated with a small washbasin.(Large built in closet in the entrance hall).
A DSL internet access is available.
The apartment is wonderfully located, right in the centre of Cannes, at the crossing of Avenue de la République and Rue d'Antibes. Very close from the Palais des Festivals.
After W.W. II, Cannes quickly became the haunt of crowned heads and billionaires, then the city of Stars, Festivals and International Conventions. Mostly famous for its International Film Festival (in May) the town regularly hosts well-known stars in its many luxury Hotels. On La Croisette, the most famous fashion brands are represented: among others Louis Vuitton, Chanel or Hermès. Of course, restaurants and boutiques are all around. The white-sand beach across La Croisette is usually crowded but remains one of the most famous throughout the French Riviera.
The regional center and seat of the department, Nice, is 30 minutes to the east. Here, the Nice train station is served by the high-speed TGV (the "Train Grande Vitesse," only five hours to Paris), and its international airport (Nice-Côte d'Azur) has daily flights from New York. Otherwise most international flight connections are made through Paris. With a car, you can range far and wide on day trips alone: Italy is only 1 hour away. Aix en Provence is 90 minutes distant.
