Charming Village House in the heart of Saint Remy de Provence (A/C)

This One bedroom / One bathroom stone house of approximately 50 sqm is located in a peaceful street of Saint Remy de Provence very close to shops and market. The house faces the street. It accommodates 2/4 people and is available for weekly rentals, throughout the year. There is Air Conditioning. Ground floor : ========== On entering the house is the living room. There are two sofas, a round dining table seating 6 and a cupboard. It is equipped with a flat screen TV set (French Channels), as well as a fireplace. Off the living room is a separate fully equipped kitchen: 4 burners gas stove, microwave, Deluxe convection oven, a dishwasher, refrigerator/freezer and coffee maker. (A/C) The bathroom has a stall shower, a washbasin with mirror and toilet. There is a washing machine and clothes dryer. First French Floor : =============== The staircase gives access to the first floor where you will find : -The bedroom with a double size bed and a window looking onto the street. There is a large wardrobe (& decorative fireplace). - A reading nook with sofa bed, stereo, desk and wet bar with a fridge. A wooden staircase gives access to the mezzanine with a single bed and a convenient dressing room. There is A/C. Basic phone in included A WIFI internet hot spot can be found in the street, 150 meters away The apartment is located in the famous village of Saint-Rémy de Provence. The Museum of Saint Remy is nearby. There are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants, particularly on the main street going all around the village. All commodities are nearby: groceries, bakeries, pharmacy, banks ... everything is within walking distance. Do not miss the local market of Saint-Rémy held on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Saint-Rémy de Provence is located just by the mountain range called 'Alpilles'. Within their surroundings, the Alpilles chain of mountains forms both a striking and a harmonious picture. It is also the landscape of famous painters such as Van Gogh, Cézanne and Matisse who came here to capture the extraordinary light and color of the region. It is also a rich agricultural area with rolling plains of fruit orchards, olives groves and all variety of Mediterranean vegetables. It is alive with the sound of chirping 'cigales' and the intoxicating aromas of multitude of wild herbs... This area is the 'Provence of the Rhone' and has a strong Roman heritage. The famous ruins of Glanum are nearby: an archeological site from the first century BC. The closest highway is the A7, exit Cavaillon, 20 minutes drive away, that goes from Lyon to Marseille with connections for all major cities of the south east of France. The closest train station is at Avignon and is served by the TGV (Train Grande Vitesse) that goes to Paris in 2 hours and 40 minutes! The closest airport is Avignon as well with daily flights to Paris. But most international connections are made through the international airports of Marseille-Marignane or Paris-Charles de Gaulle.
