Authentic 8 bedroom Family Home in Saint-Rémy de Provence - Wonderful location !

This authentic Mas built in the Provencal style is situated on the road leading to the Baux de Provence from Saint-Rémy de Provence, across the famous Alpilles. It is located at walking distance from the village of Saint-Rémy de Provence (10 minutes walk) and Glanum, a Gallo-roman archeological site that is next to the Monastery of Saint-Paul de Mausole (5 minutes walk) where Van Gogh stayed while he lived in Saint-Rémy. This eight bedroom / two bathrooms and two separate toilets is has a huge garden and a pool with a fence all around that can be a security, especially for children. The front door leads into an entrance, with a wood-burning fireplace, a lounge table, and armchairs. This entrance gives access to the living room furnished with sofas, armchairs and tables. It has a huge window facing south. On the northern wall a door gives you access to the kitchen that has a window facing north. This kitchen has cabinets, countertops, and appliances, including 4 gas burners, an oven, a refrigerator, a microwave, a toaster, a coffee maker and a dishwasher. In the storage room, next to the kitchen is a washing machine, a big freezer and an extra refrigerator. Still on the ground floor, a dinning room has a large table seating 10-12 people and a small table that seats 4 -ideal for children. It has a French window looking onto the garden and facing south. From this dinning area, a door leads to the kitchen and another one to the living room. On this ground floor is a separate toilet. From the dinning-room two wooden staircase lead to the bedrooms and bathrooms situated upstairs. The first bedroom has a French window with south exposure and is furnished with a double bed, an armoire, and two tables with a chair. From this bedroom you access to a small hallway leading to the other bedrooms and to the bathrooms. The second bedroom has a double bed, a nightstand and a chest of drawers. The room has a north exposed French window overlooking a beautiful olive orchard. The third bedroom has a double bed as well, two nightstands and an armoire. The window overlooks an olive orchard as well. A fourth bedroom furnished with a single bed, bookshelves, and chest of drawers has a small window overlooking the garden. The fifth bedroom has two single beds, a bookshelf, a washbasin and a window overlooking an olive orchard. The sixth bedroom has a double bed, a baby bed, an armoire and a window overlooking an olive orchard. The seventh bedroom has three single beds, an armoire and a French window overlooking the Alpilles. The eight bedroom is furnished with a double bed, a washbasin, an armoire and window overlooking an olive orchard. On the same floor, a standard bathroom with bathtub, shower, sink and WC can be shared. There is a separate WC and another bathroom on this floor as well. There is plenty of parking spaces at the entrance of the property so you can enjoy your garden peacefully. You can reach the historic center of Saint-Rémy de Provence in 5 minutes. You can also rent bicycles in Saint-Rémy at Ferry Location (route de Cavaillon) and cross the Alpilles riding bravely your bicycle (but you got to have very good health condition because this ride is extremely difficult !). You can also discover the Alpilles horseback riding. An equestrian center in Saint-Rémy organizes tours during summertime. The local market is on Wednesdays and Saturdays. There are plenty of bars and restaurants all around the main street (going all around the village). The famous ruins of Glanum are nearby : an old archeological site from the first century before Christ. It's definitely worth a look. For paintings lovers, the hospital where Vincent Van Gogh stayed (Cloître Saint-Paul) is also a good excursion for the day. You may even recognize one of the landscapes he drew while he was there. Les Baux nearby is also a wonderful site. The view from the old castle is amazing and the Cathédrale d'Images usually offers interesting exhibitions. Arles and La Camargue are only 30-40 minutes away by car and Avignon and its famous theater festival (in July) is 30 minutes away as well. There are plenty of things to do and see in this region.
