Charming 2 bedroom Apartment in Saint Remy de Provence

The apartment is located in an enclosed residence right on the edge of the village of Saint-Rémy de Provence about 10 min walk from the market place and the church. The property has a gate with an intercom system. The apartment is 2nd French floor with elevator of a recently built residence. This 2 bedroom / 1 bathroom apartment is available for weekly or monthly rentals, during summers, or throughout the year. The apartment has a south exposed terrace. You enter the apartment through an entrance hall. The living area is furnished with a large sofa, a lounge table and a round dining table. This room has a large bay window opening onto the south exposed terrace. The open kitchen is separated from the living by a counter. It is fully equipped with 4 vitro-ceramic hotplates, an oven, a refrigerator / freezer, a dishwaher, a washing machine, a coffee maker and a toaster. Off the living room, a hallway leads to the bedrooms. The first bedroom has a double size bed, nightstands with table lamps, a large built-in closet and a chest of drawer. The second bedroom is furnished with twin beds (too single beds that can be put together to get a double bed). Both bedrooms have a window opening onto the courtyard and the parking. The bathroom has a washbasin and a tub. Toilet is separate. The property is situated a few minutes away from the heart of Saint-Rémy de Provence and 30 minutes drive from Avignon. A private parking space is available. You can rent bicycles in Saint-Rémy (route de Cavaillon) or discover the Alpilles horseback riding. An equestrian center in Saint-Rémy organizes tours during summertime. The local market of Saint-Rémy is on Wednesdays and Saturdays. There are plenty of bars and restaurants on the main street going all around the village. The famous ruins of Glanum are nearby : an archeological site from the first century BC. It's definitely worth a look. For paintings lovers, the hospital where Vincent Van Gogh stayed (Cloître Saint-Paul) is also a good excursion for the day. You may even recognize one of the landscapes he drew while he was there. The closest highway is the A7, exit Cavaillon, 20 minutes drive away, that goes from Lyon to Marseille with connections for all major cities of the south east of France. The closest train station is at Avignon and is served by the TGV (Train Grande Vitesse) that goes to Paris in 2 hours and 40 minutes ! The closest airport is Avignon as well with daily flights to Paris. But most international connections are made through the international airports of Marseille-Marignane or Paris-Charles de Gaulle.
