Covered by steps and diagonal slabs of grass, this is a favorite hang out for many skateboarders. However, if you walk a little further to the east, you\u2019ll come up to a nice park and a few more lesser-known places in Paris.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong><div class=\"img alignright size-medium wp-image-10377\" style='width:200px;'>\n\t<img src=\"https:\/\/www.nyhabitat.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/istock_000016089956xsmall-200x300.jpg\" alt=\"Bibliotheque Francois Mitterand in Paris\" width=\"200\" height=\"300\" \/>\n\t<div>Bibliotheque Francois Mitterand in Paris<\/div>\n<\/div>Cin\u00e9math\u00e8que Francaise<\/strong> (51 rue de Bercy 75012 \u2013 across from the park)<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s hard to miss the ultra-modern design of the Cin\u00e9math\u00e8que Francaise. A Frank Gehry architectural masterpiece, the Cinemetheque opened in 2005 and houses a large film library. In the Cin\u00e9math\u00e8que there is a cool museum on the history of cinema and a movie theater which host retrospectives on film legends, both past and present.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cour Saint Emilion<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Continue walking through the gardens to the Cour Saint Emilion. Little known by tourists, the buildings of the Cour Saint Emilion were once warehouses for wine. The Cour Saint Emilion has been restored and converted into lively cafes and shops. At the end you\u2019ll find one of the largest movie complexes of Paris. It&#8217;s a floating swimming pool just next to the Fran\u00e7ois Mitterand Library.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jardin des Plantes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After taking a dip in the pool, head back towards La Bastille along the Quai d&#8217;Austerlitz and explore the Jardin des Plantes.
