Metropolitan Museum of Art<\/strong>: (The MET)<br \/>\nWith its 5 million visitors per year, the Metropolitan Museum of Art is one of New York City\u2019s most popular attractions. \u00a0It is located in the <a title=\"Travel Guide to the Upper East Side, NY\" href=\"\/blog\/category\/new-york\/new-york-travel-guide\/new-york-neighborhoods\/upper-east-side\/\">Upper East Side<\/a> and every first Saturday from 5 p.m. to 11p.m.\u00a0 Of course, arriving after 5 may not give you enough time to visit all of the museum&#8217;s permanent collection containing more than one-and-a-half million objects.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Studio Museum in Harlem:<\/strong><br \/>\nOpened in 1968, the Studio Museum in <a title=\"Harlem Travel tips\" href=\"\/blog\/category\/new-york\/new-york-travel-guide\/new-york-neighborhoods\/harlem\/\">Harlem<\/a> has earned recognition for its role in promoting the works of artists of African descent.\u00a0 This museum is free the first Saturday of every month.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, most museums in New York have a day each week or each month where entry is free.\u00a0 So if you\u2019ve got a museum you absolutely must see, but don\u2019t have it in your budget, contact the museum \u2013 they just might have a free day during your visit.<\/p>\n<p>And speaking of your budget, don\u2019t forget that a of Music.\u00a0 Head over to their BAMcaf\u00e9 where you\u2019ll find great music.\u00a0 Every Friday and Saturday is free to the public.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Summerstage:<\/strong><br \/>\nIf you\u2019re coming to New York in the summer, you\u2019ve got to check out Central Park\u2019s Summerstage.\u00a0 SummerStage is New York&#8217;s premiere outdoor concert venue in Central Park.\u00a0 All summer long you\u2019ll find amazing concerts \u2013 and they\u2019re all completely free.<\/p>\n<p><strong>There\u2019s a seemingly endless list of ways to take in some quality art and music for
