The anthology features a short film for almost every arrondissement of Paris (excluding the 11th and 15th), each by a different director and each featuring nods to the unique locations and vibe of each district of Paris. (20th Century Fox)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>The <strong>1st Arrondissement<\/strong> is perhaps one of the best places in the city to go for your fix of world-famous <strong>art<\/strong>, and filmmakers seem to think so too! The main attraction of the area is of course, the <strong>Louvre<\/strong>, the <a title=\"The Louvre isn\u2019t the only art museum in Paris, but it certainly is the most famous!\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nyhabitat.com\/blog\/2015\/12\/21\/top-10-museums-paris\/\">most famous art museum in the world<\/a>. Numerous <strong>films<\/strong> and music videos have drawn inspiration from the Louvre. French filmmaker Jean-Luc Godard\u2019s popular 1964 film <em>Band of Outsiders<\/em> features a sequence of characters running through the museum. Don\u2019t try to recreate the scene on your visit, but when you\u2019ve finished your (walking) tour of the Louvre, you can admire the Seine from the <strong>bridge<\/strong> Pont-Neuf, where the French drama <em>Les amants du Pont-Neuf<\/em> was filmed. Lastly, after a scenic walk through <strong>Tuileries Garden<\/strong>, you\u2019ll arrive at the <strong>Place de la Concorde<\/strong>. The beautiful fountain in the plaza is worth admiring, but also got some screen time when Anne Hathaway\u2019s character in <em>The Devil Wears Prada<\/em> threw her cell phone into the fountain at the end of the film. In addition to lavish buildings, the modern Le Marais is also one of <a title=\"Shopaholics shouldn\u2019t miss these 5 spots in Paris\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nyhabitat.com\/blog\/2013\/08\/26\/top-5-shopping-spots-paris\/\">Paris\u2019s most popular areas for shopping<\/a> and art galleries. To take a peek inside a historic building, visit <strong>H\u00f4tel de Soubise<\/strong>, home of France\u2019s national archives. Though most of Sofia Coppola\u2019s <em>Marie Antoinette<\/em> was filmed on location in the <a title=\"Versailles is a must-see attraction just outside of Paris\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nyhabitat.com\/blog\/2013\/05\/13\/visit-palace-versailles-paris\/\">Palace of Versailles<\/a>, the gilded rooms of Soubise were used for some of the internal scenes. If you prefer a tour of romantic history, strolling around Le Marais also puts you right in the footsteps of Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy in the 2004 film <em>Before Sunset.<\/em> If nothing else, you\u2019ll fall in love with this beautiful area of Paris.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>Dance along the Seine in the 4th Arrondissement<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Seine is a big part of the 4th Arrondissement of Paris, with the district containing two islands and six bridges. It\u2019s also notable for its small Parisian streets and the famous <strong>Notre Dame Cathedral<\/strong> <a title=\"The \u00cele-de-la-Cit\u00e9 is a famous sight along the Seine\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nyhabitat.com\/blog\/2011\/10\/07\/autumn-ile-de-la-cite-paris\/\">on the \u00cele-de-la-Cit\u00e9<\/a>. The 2011 film <em>Midnight in Paris<\/em>, in which the main character is transported back to the Jazz Age of the 1920s, features a prominent scene in the 5th Arrondissement on the steps of <strong>Saint-Etienne-du-Mont<\/strong> church. Additionally, the popular film <em>La La Land<\/em> filmed a scene in <strong>Le Caveau de la Huchette<\/strong>, a jazz club in the Latin Quarter. And, as you may expect, there have been numerous movies, music videos, <strong>television shows<\/strong> and more filmed or set around the iconic landmark. The Eiffel Tower was notably used in the <strong>Audrey Hepburn<\/strong> musical <em>Funny Face<\/em>. (UGC)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>You might recognize the <strong>8th Arrondissement<\/strong> by the famous tree-lined <strong>Champs-Elys\u00e9es<\/strong> that serves as, <a title=\"The Tour de France is one of many famous annual events in Paris\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nyhabitat.com\/blog\/2014\/08\/11\/top-yearly-events-paris\/\">among other things, the finish line to the Tour de France<\/a>. Because the avenue is such a bustling location in the heart of Paris, it\u2019s the perfect place to serve as the backdrop for a hectic film. We won\u2019t claim to know for sure, but perhaps that\u2019s why <strong>Jean-Luc Godard<\/strong> chose it as the setting for one of his best films, <em>Breathless<\/em> ( <em>\u00c0 bout de souffl\u00e9<\/em>). The film was mostly improvised on the spot and is a fast-paced crime drama, blending in perfectly with the pulse of the Champs-Elys\u00e9es. You can visit for a more go-at-your-own-pace experience, since the area is also great for shopping, caf\u00e9s, restaurants and theaters. The district itself is just as charming as the film, with some of the best views of Paris and plenty of small cafes and markets for a delicious meal. One of these cafes is the <strong>Caf\u00e9 des Deux Moulins<\/strong>, the diner where Am\u00e9lie (played by Audrey Tatou) works as a waitress in the film. Here, in one of two favorite scenes, she attempts to contact her love interest, Nino.
