You can easily cross the park since you are just at the entrance of the 79th Street Transverse to the Upper East Side, thus the Met is less than a mile away (approx. 1.6 km) from your rental as well. The district is quite diverse, simple places to eat or go out are mixed with upscale ones, from Shake Shack, with burgers, to Isabella's, with French and Italian cuisine.
