Greenpoint welcomes you to Brooklyn with this classically detailed, fully furnished two bedroom apartment. Complete with pressed tin ceilings, a claw foot tub and an entire hall of cabinet space, this apartment embraces a vintage feel but has been brought forward to modern standards. Located on Franklin Street and Huron Street, it sits on the 2nd floor (considered 1st in Europe) of a two-story building.
The two bedroom apartment is accessorized with antique-themed furniture. It features hard wood floors, ample seating space, and a flat-screen cable television providing indoor entertainment. Two large windows in the living room saturate the space with natural sunlight. These windows face the street.
In the separate kitchen, a dainty dining table with four chairs accommodates meal space and there is the convenience of a washing machine. The tiled bathroom includes a large window for natural illumination and ventilation. A shower in a claw foot tub is available here.
Both bedrooms have double size beds and a window, as well as a ceiling fan for air circulation. Both rooms also have air conditioning for hot summer days. Closet space is available in the main corridor that separates the living room from the kitchen.
Located in a residential community of Brooklyn, this neighborhood embraces a peaceful suburban feeling within the always-bustling city of New York.
The building owner will be happy to provide the renter with neighborhood tips to ease the transition to the neighborhood! Highlights include:
- East River State Park: This is a seven-acre waterfront park where concerts and gatherings are sometimes held, such as Smorgasburg, a food fair held on the weekends during warmer months. Accessible via foot (about .8 mi or 1.3km) or B62 bus. If you just want to enjoy the Manhattan Skyline, you can stroll two streets west to one of the streets that end at the East River!
- Governor’s Island: This island also holds concerts and events during the summer. When there is no event scheduled, New Yorkers like to picnic and bike here. The ferry from Brooklyn is available near Pier 6 on Columbia Street. Accessible via G train.
- MoMA PS.1. Museum: This museum focuses on contemporary art. Located at 22-25 Jackson Ave, Long Island City. 1.3mi/2.1km. Accessible via foot or G train.
- Franklin Corner Store: This store/deli is located almost outside the apartment building, perfect for a snack!
For public transportation around Brooklyn and Queens, take the G train at Greenpoint Avenue and Manhattan Avenue (0.4mi/600m). You can also transfer to the L line in just 2 stops if you need to reach Manhattan. Another way to easily access Manhattan is the East River Ferry, available to take you into Midtown from Brooklyn, which is only 3 blocks away (400m). Enjoy the breeze while you commute!
