Chelsea has a historic district called Cushman Row that runs for one block on 20th street between 9th and 10th avenues. This block has classic examples of Greek Revival townhouses with elaborate ironwork, red brick construction and brownstone doorways.

The Chelsea market is a great place to find all kinds of different foods from Italian imports to fresh milk in glass bottles to bread that was just baked in front of your eyes. Chelsea is also home to the Flower District which is on 28th street between 6th and 7th Avenues and supplies most of Manhattan as well as stores along the east coast with fresh cut flowers and plants.

The High Line Park is a new addition to the neighborhood and skyline was created on top of what used to be an old raised rail line. It is now a lovely combination of modern architecture and nature and has brought in many new shops and restaurants to the neighborhood.
