Stay in New York City in Brooklyn’s historic neighborhood of Bedford-Stuyvesant. This two-bedroom apartment is located at the corner of Vernon Avenue and Throop Avenue.
Please note you can either rent this entire 2-bedroom apartment or rent a private bedroom as part of a roommate share where the rest of the apartment is shared.
The apartment spans the first floor (equivalent to the ground floor in Europe) and the lower ground floor*. The apartment does not have an elevator. Guests will find contemporary furniture, hardwood floors, and base moulding throughout the apartment. The living room on the first floor has a sectional sofa providing plenty of seating space for guests. Two windows in the living room provide lots of natural light and an exposed brick wall adds to the charm and character of the space. A built in shelf runs along the length of the brick wall. There is a dining table in the living room. The second living room in the basement features recessed lighting to brighten the space as well as a full bed for guests. Plenty of storage space is available for guests through built in shelves on the walls. A small workspace is available for guests with a desk and chair. The kitchen in the apartment features modern appliances, white countertops and cabinets, recessed lighting, and tile backsplash. The first bedroom has a full size bed available for guests, a dresser for guest storage, and a window adding natural light. The second bedroom features a futon, recessed lighting, and a separate exit and entrance to the apartment. The first bathroom has white tiled walls and shower. And there is an additional separate toilet. A fenced-in backyard garden with raised flower beds is also available for guests to enjoy.
New York’s Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood is one of the city’s most historic areas and has been a center of rich culture since the early 20th century. Guests will notice townhouse lined streets and a diverse restaurant scene highlighting Caribbean, Southern, and French cuisine. Tranquility Farm community garden (0.1 miles or around 150 meters from the apartment), Herbert Von King Park (0.6 miles or around 1 km), and Maria Hernandez Park (1.1 miles or around 2 km) bring natural greenery to the area. Guests will find plenty of second-hand and vintage clothing stores, including the well-known shop Harold and Maude Vintage only 0.8 miles or around 1.5 km away. Guests will have their choice of the grocery stores no more than a half-mile (around 800 meters) from the apartment.
