I enjoyed the apartment [in New York]. Its location was super in a lively area full of restaurants and bars.

The apartment we stayed suited our needs although cupboard space was limited as the owners belongings were still in the house. Also i think it needs to be made clear apartment is 5 floors high with no lift and could prove troublesome for some people. The decor was clean and the rooms tidy and was situated ideally for restaurants, pubs, shopping etc. Overall i think it represented good value for money and would recommend it to anyone

We thought the apartment was fantastic - the owner met us on the day we arrived in New York and was extremely helpful in adapting us to the area and making us feel at home (in particular, he had done up a document summarizing the location of various amenities close to the flat). The location of the apartment was second to none - very close to public transport and walking distance to heaps of trendy locales in SOHO and surrounding neighbourhoods. The apartment was of course small (by non-New York standards), but certainly contained everything that we needed to be comfortable for the week, and with only two of us we were far from falling over each other.

The only drawback on the apartment was that it was right above a number of popular nightspots, and so it got rather noisy most nights after midnight once venues started to close. Fortunately we were exhausted after sightseeing all day and so it didn't really bother us all that much - but light sleepers might want to take note!
