Description
2 Bedroom Apartment Rental in Bourse (PA-77)
2 Bedrooms, 1 Bathroom, 1 Half Bathroom - Sleeps

This two bedroom apartment faces north on Boulevard de Bonne Nouvelle, between  Rue de Mazagran and Rue de la Lune. It is located on the fourth floor (fifth floor in the USA) of a Hausmanien-style building with an elevator, a concierge and a coded security system. The elevator is accessible by a short flight of stairs or directly via the service entrance at the rear of the building. The apartment owner is a collector who lives in the apartment when it is not rented.

The apartment of 94m2 (approx. 1,010 sq.ft.) is spacious and elegantly furnished with lovely decorative touches. It has soft yellow sponge-painted wallpaper, herringbone pattern wood floors, and lead glass windows. The furniture is eclectic but mostly antique.

There is a double living room, which on one side has a sofa, a coffee table, armchairs, antique pieces of furniture, and a wooden dining table with four chairs. This room is equipped with cable TV, a VCR and a stereo. Double-glazed windows give view of the Sacré Coeur Basilica!

A high speed connection is available, and there are two smoke detectors in the apartment, one in the hallway and one near the kitchen's entrance.

The first bedroom has a double bed with a wool mattres, which provides a slightly different comfort than a regular mattress. It also features a mirrored armoire, a desk and a double-glaze window with a small balcony.

The second bedroom has a single bed and an extension of a single bed that can be placed at the same level; it also has a window.

Linens and blankets are provided. Central heat is available.

The kitchen is equipped with four induction burners, an electric oven, a microwave, a refrigerator/freezer, a coffee maker, a toaster, and a dishwasher. Dishes, stemware, cutlery, pots and pans are provided. A washing machine and dryer are installed in a little storage room.

This two bedroom  Paris apartment is located in the Bourse neighborhood (near Sentier and Montorgueil) of the 2nd arrondissement. It is just a few steps from the Porte Saint Martin (400m/0.2mi) and the Porte Saint Denis (160m/0.1mi), two triumphal arches erected in the 17th century to celebrate major French victories and recently cleaned and restored. Bourse is one of those traditional, popular communities of Paris, where one can find a great mix of cultures. It offers the opportunity to explore the Grands Boulevards, composed of boulevards named de la Madeleine, des Italiens, St-Martin, des Capucines, Montmartre, Poissonnière, St-Denis, Bonne-Nouvelle (500m/0.3mi). Here, tenants will find major department stores as well as many cinemas, cafes and restaurants. The apartment is just a short metro ride or a long stroll from the Opera Garnier (1.6km/1mi).

The closest subway station is Bonne Nouvelle (lines 8 and 9) just in front of the building’s entrance (170m/0.1mi) and the Strasbourg St Denis metro station (line 4) is a short walk away (270m/0.2mi).

Overall I had a great experience. The apartment was very charming and spacious and the owner was easy to work with (we worked around the language barrier).

There is a metro station right outside of the building and another line less than a block away, which made getting anywhere I wanted to go in Paris a breeze.

There were a few things that weren't great:
1) the clothes dryer was broken. This wouldn't have been a big deal if I weren't staying for a month, but it did end up being a major inconvenience. If a dryer is important to you I would suggest making sure that it has been fixed.
2) The entire month there was construction upstairs beginning at 7 am every day, even on the weekends. This is of course not the owners fault, but again something I would ask about.

I would like to thank all the different occupants for their positive and even warm reviews that they left in the past.
As regards the needed improvements:
The noise from the works was a nuisance indeed but according to the initial calendar, they should have been over well before the occupants' arrival.
As for the dryer, it's the handle to close it that's broken and I wasn't aware of that. It will be fixed for the 2013 season.

We had a wonderful stay in this apartment. It is very comfortable and the landlord was reliable and courteous. All of the apartment amenities were exactly as represented. The location is excellent for getting around the city. The neighborhood is very lively (it can be noisy at times, but it's Paris!).

My daughter was the one to take care of the tenants' departure from the vacation rental and as always everything went perfectly, and I'd spoken to them on the phone, they were delighted and speaking of coming back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this very Parisian apartment. Perfect for someone wanting a comfortable home away from home, in an authentic traditional environment. We would love to stay here again, and thought it was good value considering the size, view of Sacre Coeur, wireless internet, furniture, books, etc. A real advantage for this location is that it is an easy walk to the Louvre and the 3 different metro lines within 100m give direct access to Notre Dame, the Latin Quarter, the Champs Elysees, Trocadero, Opera, Bastille, Invalides, Gare du Nord, Gare de L'Est and Montparnasse. Very helpful proprietor, and prompt service from the agency.

Everything was absolutely perfect and for ten years that I have been using your services to rent out my vacation rental, this time it was left the cleanest. These ladies even went as far in their consideration as to wake up early to wash the nights sheets.

My husband and I rented apartment PA77 for the month of August, 2009. We brought our two teenage children as well.

The apartment was absolutely beautiful, more than large enough for four, and spotlessly clean. It was located in a very nice part of Paris, with metro stations near by.

The owners of the apartment were charming and gracious, and very helpful with information. The people we dealt with at NY Habitat, who put us in touch with the owners, were highly professional, and helpful as well.

In all, we had a wonderful holiday, and would highly recommend this [furnished] apartment and NY Habitat to anyone who is planning a trip to France.

We stayed at PA-77 (Blvd Bonne Nouvelle) for six weeks in 2007. We enjoyed the same wonderful experience this past June/July. The service from NYHabitat was top notch. The apartment is wonderful for its size, location, amenities i.e. elevator, bathtub, Metro right down stairs, owner, furnished, nice entertainment center and cable TV etc.

We hope to return again in the near future.

I would like to tell you that the apartment I stayed in was absolutely fantastic - everything I had hoped for in an authentic Parisian apartment.

[The owners] were most helpful and their home was a joy to stay in for the summer.

The area itself was ideal, only 10 min's or so on foot from Notre Dame or the Louvre - everything was within easy walking distance but there's also a metro stop meters from the front door.

The area to the right of the apartment was a little seedy but to the left took you to the Opera Garnier, on the way passing lots of nice bars, restaurants, cinemas etc

The apartment itself was wonderful - the view was amazing, the living areas filled with interesting authentic furniture, I would definitely stay there if I were to visit Paris in future.
