This comfortably large triplex 3 bedroom apartment loft, found in the 9th arrondissement in Paris, instantly stands out as a great vacation opportunity. This is certainly helped by the fact that it is situated on the top floors of a typical Hausmanien 5-story (equivalent to the American 6-story) walk-up building in the Grands Boulevards area, offering amazing views over Paris rooftops. Or perhaps because you can feel the history behind this landmark mid-19th century building, renovated in 2012 to include a modern set up with a digicode system protecting the building’s entrance.
You instantly see that the apartment has kept its soul, thanks to the extended use of the exposed wooden beams throughout, as well as hardwood floors and wooden furniture, or the limestone marble in the kitchen and bathroom. The apartment is striking by its capacity to give you a warm and authentic welcome, with large windows throughout, including skylights on the top floor. If you want to relax and appreciate the intimate Parisian living, the glass windows looking southward over the Montmartre neighborhood will help you fully enjoy the moment, perhaps while reading (or maybe deciphering) a book from the private library at your disposition.
For visiting the rest of Paris, you have a book of maps of the city provided.
On Rue Richier in the Grands Boulevards neighborhood, this apartment is well situated with the historic Montmartre neighborhood being only a few blocks away. You will have too many monuments around to choose from! For instance, whether you choose to go to the famed Louvre Museum or the magnificent Palais-Royal, both are only 5 metro stops away on the nearby 7 line, or a nice stroll through the Opéra - Grands Boulevards - Clichy area (less than 2 km or 1.24 mi away). In the immediate vicinity, your street will provide you with convenience stores and a pharmacy (a Franprix is just outside your door!). Otherwise, the recommended Le Vaudeville Brasserie is only 700m (0.43 mi) away for delicious food prepared in the classic French style.
If you feel like going downtown, just take the subway from the nearby station (1 block) and take a ride on the 7 line straight to the banks of the Seine River, or go uptown towards the Gare de l’Est.
Please note that the fireplace is decorative only and cannot be used.
