This fully furnished 2 bedroom house is located 2 km from Saint Remy de Provence, Alpilles in the South of France.

The house has a southern exposure and overlooks a large terrace and offers pleasant views onto the garden.

This accommodation is arranged on two levels:

Garden level :

Large kitchen opening onto a veranda - dining room, library lounge (with sofa bed).

First French floor :

2 bedrooms and large bathroom

A private swimming pool (fenced) is available at the entrance to the property. A barbecue is at your disposal.

The vacation rental is combined with a larger home where le landlords reside. However you ll benifit from a lot of privacy (not overlooked).

Parking is available at the entrance to the villa.

This villa is within short driving distance from Saint Remy de Provence, Alpilles in the south of France.

You can rent bicycles in Saint-Rémy (route de Cavaillon) or discover the Alpilles horseback riding. An equestrian center in Saint-Rémy organizes tours during summertime. The local market of Saint-Rémy is on Wednesdays and Saturdays. There are plenty of bars and restaurants on the main street going all around the village.

The famous ruins of Glanum are nearby : an archaeological site from the first century BC. It's definitely worth a look. For paintings lovers, the hospital where Vincent Van Gogh stayed (Cloître Saint-Paul) is also a good excursion for the day. You may even recognize one of the landscapes he drew while he was there.

The closest highway is the A7, exit Cavaillon, 20 minutes drive away, that goes from Lyon to Marseille with connections for all major cities of the south east of France.

The closest train station is at Avignon and is served by the TGV (Train Grande Vitesse) that goes to Paris in 2 hours and 40 minutes !

The closest airport is Avignon as well with daily flights to Paris. But most international connections are made through the international airports of Marseille-Marignane or Paris-Charles de Gaulle.

We had a great experience with the property and the owners! It is located in a quiet area giving you plenty of privacy.

The owners have limited English but nothing a pencil & paper can't clear up with a little drawing if you have to! It might be a good idea to bring a French/English translation book to help smooth your stay in France anyway as a lot of French people do not seem to speak English.

There are several great site-seeing opportunities within anywhere from a 15 minute to a 1 hour drive to a nice beach. The wireless internet was nice to have!
If you go during a cooler time of year there is no heat in one of the 2 bedrooms upstairs but nothing an extra blanket wouldn't take care of. The one complaint I have is there was no television service (receiver was not working) but since I wasn't there to watch TV it wasn't a huge deal.

The pool area was pretty nice but unfortunately it was too cold to use during our stay. I also like that the property is fenced with a gated entryway that you can drive through (remotely controlled).

I would rent this property again in a heartbeat.

The Villa had dated entertainment facilities e.g (no CD or radio, VHS Tuner (almost obselete) and the bed linen could have been better. However, it did have a wonderful French feel to it and we had a lovely 2 weeks there with full use of the pool (which was very private) and BBQ facilities. The owners were charming, and willing to please (our lack of French and their lack of English did not cause problems at all, we all managed to communicate very well. We would definately stay there again

We were completely satisfied with renting out the vacation rental to Mr. and Mrs. L, terrific people that I would recommend for other rent outs. The same goes for your agent who was able to answer the questions we had.
