Combining an ideal location in Le Marais and great interiors, this one bedroom vacation rental at rue au Maire between rue Beaubourg and rue de Turbigo in the 3rd arrondissement of Paris features a southern and northern exposure to allow maximum sunlight all day long! This accommodation is located on the 1st floor (considered the 2nd floor by Americans) of an 18th century walk up building equipped with a security system.
Featuring white walls that contrast with a herringbone patterned parquet floor, this one bedroom apartment has 2.88 m (9.45 ft) high ceilings giving a sense of greater space. With three large windows garnished with curtains looking out over the silent paved courtyard, the living room is fitted out with a queen size sofa bed, two armchairs, a glass top rectangular coffee table, a drop leaf wooden dining table with six chairs, recessed bookshelves, a dresser, a stereo, and wall paintings. A corridor including a built in closet leads to the bedroom. It is furnished with a queen size bed with bedside stands and one lamp, a closet, a desk, a cabinet, a floor lamp, and two windows ornate with curtains on the street side. Separate and provided with a hatch and three stools, the kitchen is equipped with a microwave oven, an electric kettle, and a toaster in addition to all the basic amenities. Please note that there is no oven. Next to the bedroom, the bathroom encloses a shower cabin, a white washbasin, and has the convenience of a washing machine. Toilet is separate.
Very demanded area, Le Marais encloses the well-known pedestrian rue des Gravilliers, showing nice cheese mongers, fishmongers, greengrocers, and gorgeous restaurants and cafes. You will find it only one block south of this vacation rental (320 meters or 0.2 miles). Le Marais is one of the Paris' neighborhoods that has preserved almost all of its pre-Revolutionary architecture. Places of interest in the area are the Georges Pompidou Cultural Center, also known as Beaubourg (450 meters or 0.28 miles), and the wide shopping center Les Halles (750 meters or 0.46 miles), perfect place in the city center to find men and women's fashion, home and electronic items, or gifts under a single roof! A little farther (1.7 km or 1.05 miles away) is the royal Place des Vosges, the oldest square in Paris where many famous Frenchmen lived, among them Richelieu and Victor Hugo. The Place des Vosges is now a nice central park surrounded by arcades with shops and cafes.
The closest metro stations from your apartment are Arts et Métiers served by lines 3 and 11, and Réaumur Sébastopol (lines 3, 4). Line 3 crosses Paris from west to east, and line 4 from north to south, making commuting around Paris very easy from your apartment!
