This one bedroom apartment is located in the Gambetta Pere Lachaise neighborhood in the 11th arrondissement of Paris, on the right bank of the River Seine. It is on the first French floor of a 6-story 19th century walk-up building with a coded / buzzer-intercom entry system. The 54m² (650-ft²) unit has a southeastern exposure overlooking a peaceful public garden and quiet street. During your stay, you’ll enjoy the convenience of an in-unit washer & dryer as well as wifi internet access throughout.
The furnished apartment has white walls, parquet floors, high ceilings (8.5 feet), and windows that allow in the sunshine, creating a bright space. There are two adjacent living areas connected to one another through a large arched wall opening. They feature decorative fireplaces, built-in floor-to-ceiling bookshelves, chairs, benches, and even a hammock so you can sit back and relax. There is also a double bed that can be pulled out or stowed away underneath a platform, antique dining table, stereo and telephone. The separate kitchen has cherry red walls, tiled floors, an L-shaped counter, and light wooden cabinetry stocked with tableware fand utensils. It is equipped with two vitro ceramic burners, stainless steel sink, multifunction oven, electric kettle, and toaster. You can find the fridge-freezer inside a walk-in closet in the hallway near the entrance. The bedroom contains a single-size elevated bed, area rug, and adequate storage space in large wardrobes. The bathroom has a tub-shower, washbasin, and a wall-mounted mirror and shelves where you can arrange your toiletries. The w/c is in a separate room beside the front door.
Situated on Rue Lacharriere, between Avenue Parmentier & Rue Saint Maur, this one bedroom apartment is close to public transportation, with three subway stations nearby. You can take the 3 train at Rue Saint-Maur, just 3 short blocks away, and at Parmentier (.35 miles), and the 9 train at Saint-Ambroise (1/4 mile). Both connect to other lines, making it easy to transfer and explore the entire City of Lights! Gambetta Pere Lachaise is, for the most part, a residential area of Paris; it has a pleasant atmosphere and is minutes from trendy Oberkampf Street, which has plenty of nice restaurants and cafés. To the northwest is the historic Place de la République, and to the east is the Père Lachaise cemetery—resting place to many prominent artistic figures, including Chopin, Molière, Oscar Wilde, and Jim Morrison. Visit the legendary Place de la Bastille (just under a mile away), which has entertainment venues like the new Opera House and movie theaters, as well as dining spots and pubs. Also within close proximity are various museums such as Musée Cognacq-Jay, Musée Carnavalet, and Musée de la Poupée, all within a mile radius.
