1 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom, 1 Half Bathroom - Sleeps

Just down the street from the prominent Montparnasse Tower, this fully furnished apartment rental can be found on cité Falguière and Rue Falguiere, a quiet residential part of the 15th arrondissement. The one bedroom apartment is located on the first floor (the second to Americans) of a 4-story postwar (5 for americans) construction complete with an elevator, intercom and concierge. The proximity to several shops and bus stations make this apartment unique.

A real home-away-from-home, the apartment features charming vintage furnishings in the living room including a wall-to-wall bookshelf and a chess set. Two sofas sit in a lounge area by the cable TV, while a dining table in the corner allows you to enjoy homemade meals,  cooked in the separate kitchen. Cooking amenities include a fridge, freezer, microwave, oven, and electric stovetop. The bedroom’s pair of single beds (able to be combined into a King) is joined by a dresser, side table, desk, and window that looks out onto the leafy garden on the north side of the apartment. The presence of trees all around the apartment transmit an  light feeling of comfort and serenity to the overall atmosphere.

Located in the primarily residential 15th arrondissement, this rental will give you a whole new perspective on Paris!

From: India,
Apartment Rental: 1 month

I rented this one bedroom apartment for 39 days (from mid November to 23rd December) as I was pursuing a 1 month course from Le Cordon Bleu (LCB). The apartment was about a 15 minutes' walk from LCB and served my purpose beautifully as It is located just off Boulevard Pasteur, at Cite Falguiere. The location of the apartment is great as it is a 3 minutes' walk from Pasteur Metro Station and about 8 minutes' walk to Gare Montparnasse, which is the train interchange station. Trains from this station run to places outside of Paris as well as CDG airport. Montparnasse is very vibrant area with lots of Parisian Cafes and small theatres as well as a smaller version of the Galeries Lafayette.
The apartment is very cozy and very well furnished. It carries all appliances such as washing machine, toaster, dishwasher, refrigerator, 2 tvs , iron with ironing board, electric kettle. I missed an oven as I had to practice what I was learning but I guess that won't be of use unless you are studying Patisserie as I was. Apart from that, all the appliances were in working condition and were of great use. 50 steps from the apartment is Marche Franprix so one doesn't have to worry too much about daily needs as everything is readily available.
The living room is the highlight of the apartment. It is very big and spacious for Paris standards and has 2 big sofas with a center table and the adjoining dining area has a round dining table with 4 chairs. One wall is completely covered with books and with all the furniture, it can become crowded. The bedroom is big enough but it has a lot of furniture which was not of use to us (my husband joined me for 3 weeks) and as a result we had to keep our luggage bags in the living room which crowded the living room further. The school next door did have its disadvantages in terms of the noise created by the kids playing and was very audible in the bedroom, but it isn't something I would give too much weightage to.
The apartment has about 5-6 potted plants and we had to water them every day in order for them to survive and considering my hectic schedule, it became more of a chore than anything else. The storage space in terms of cupboards is very very limited and for long stays especially during winters when you have to carry heavy jackets and overcoats was not sufficient.
My husband and I both felt that the owner could have been more cordial and welcoming. Our exchanges with her (over email mostly) were not very pleasant. We decided to vacate the apartment 4 days earlier as our family was joining us and we were moving to a 2 bedroom apartment near Champs Elysees and we communicated the same to her. Our plans changed and we decided to stay in the apartment for 2 more days which was within our contract period, but she quite literally forced us to move out as she had already leased out the apartment to others which was without our consent especially when the 2 day extension was within the contracted days. I had to remind her about the contract she had signed with us and the rental amount which was given to her in full and that's when she realized her mistake or at least we thought so.
Moving in to the next apartment where we spent 7 days, we realized that the cite falgiuere apartment was much better but being next to Champs-Elysees, one couldn't have everything.
In a nutshell, if we had to plan the trip again, I would consider staying here.

Thank you Janeya for choosing to stay at my apartment and for this very detailed comment.

Concerning school noises: it happens only during recess times (starting from 10.15 to 10.30 am). Children leave school at 4 pm. It amounts to 4 days a week (school is closed on Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday and during holidays). I hope you were not too much bothered during your stay.
Regarding the 3 plants, they need to be watered once a week (each tenant is informed about it at arrival). I also offer guests to have the building manager come and take care of it. The oven is suitable for 1 or 2 people, there is also a microwave. I hope the information about the kitchen equipment is clear enough in the apartment description.
I think that the storage capacity is really convenient for a 70 square meters apartment.

I always try to do my best to satisfy my guests' needs and to welcome them in the best way possible.

Apartment Rental: 27 days

The apartment is comfortable and the location residential and perfect for me. There is a grammar school however right behind the apartment with children running, playing and yelling, as children do, in the playground from 7:15 AM, and throughout the day.

The only oven, a toaster oven did not work, the hotplate, light bulb which was to be replaced immediately never was, and a plug in coffee maker would be very useful. There is a pressure coffee maker enough for only a single cup.

Chantal, I'd have preferred you to let me know about your concerns during your stay at the apartment. I really want my guests to have a pleasant stay and I am available in case of a problem. I have checked the ovens and both of them work. The hob bulb has been changed.

As regards to the coffee machine, it is a multi-cup coffee maker. There are two outlets at disposal on the counter. Regarding the little school two gardens away from the apartment, you can only hear the children during the 10.15am recess and when they leave at 4pm.

There's no class on Wednesdays and on weekends. It is a quiet neighborhood. I am glad that you loved the apartment and hope to host you again for a future stay.
