Neighborhood:
The apartment is very close to the Butte Montmartre. The famous Sacred Heart Basilica and Place du Tertre, with numerous painters, drawers, and caricaturists, is on top of the knoll. At the end of the 19th century, the area was a mecca for artists, writers and poets. Montmartre has a physical charm and a village atmosphere that remains remarkably intact.
Close to the apartment are the Montmartre's Town Hall, a daily open-air market (Rue Duhesme), and all kinds of shops, restaurants, and bars. The metro goes directly to the center of Paris through La Madeleine, Place de la Concorde to Sèvres-Babylone and the Sixth Arrondissement.
