The apartment was very well appointed in period detail and impeccably maintained. Proximetry to train and metro stations were very convenient. Slightly noisy at times due to immediately adjacent school. Very likely we will rerent this apartment in future.

The apartment is a beautiful Haussmann style apartment with amazing moldings, gorgeous wood parquet floors, heavy original windows and shutters and original hardware throughout. It's very big by Parisian standards. The photos are very accurate. The apartment has beautiful antique furnishings and decor, and yet it had a very cozy feel. With two big bedrooms it's more than enough room for four people.

We stayed at this apartment for over two months so I did a lot of cooking while we were there. I wanted to try my hand at French cooking. The eat-in kitchen was big, convenient and extremely well equipped. We also had a few dinner parties in the dining/living area and I have to say it was elegant. Our Parisian friends thanked us for the party AND the opportunity to see such a lovely apartment.

The location is central and not a block away from one of the main Metro Stations, and a short walk (10 minutes) from two of the biggest department stores in Paris, plus a large shopping mall, bakeries, cafés, grocery stores, pharmacy, florist, you name it, and it was nearby. At the same time you can get to all the famous sights and museums in minutes on the metro and we did. My husband took the bus to work every day, the bus stops are about 5 minutes out the door, along with the taxi stands.

It is a very bustling area, which you might equate with noisy, and yes if all the windows are open in the summer it gets pretty noisy as any big city does. When the windows were closed however it was much much quieter, and completely quieted down at night. The weather was mild while we were there so we usually slept with the windows open. I have to say that for me the city noises added to the Paris ambience.

Being in such a central, happening area of Paris, we never worried about security. There is a coded keypad to enter the building another key to open the door to the foyer and then the key to your beautiful apartment. We had packages and mail delivered to us however with no problem. There is a buzzer to allow the delivery to the apartment.

The bathroom is nice and roomy, with a big deep tub, nice shower and a separate room for the commode. We never once ran out of hot water, and there were plenty of times when we were all getting ready at once. There were plenty of towels and linens as well.

The apartment owners were warm, friendly and accommodating. We met with them at the beginning when we checked in, once during the two months when they called and stopped in to give us an extra set of keys, and at the end when we checked out with no problems.
They were also very helpful with emails, when we had a question. The owners live in this apartment during part of the year, so if you want a home in Paris and want to live life like a Parisian? That is what you will get here.
