This furnished apartment is located in Montorgueil, a historic part of Paris where the people are friendly. It takes just a few minutes to walk to the Forum des Halles, one of the most important commercial malls in Paris, from this accommodation. This popular area offers all sorts of shops, cafés and restaurants. Rue de Greneta is only five minutes away from the Louvre and the Jardin des Tuileries.
Premises:
This duplex one-bedroom apartment is located on the ground floor of an 18th century building. The main entrance gate is protected by a coded system and opens into a hall. From there, a door with iron bars and an intercom leads to a paved exterior hallway and the apartment entrance.
The apartment is east exposed and has exposed wooden beams. The entrance door opens directly into the tiled living room and open kitchen.
The living room has a double-glazed window with exterior iron bars opening onto the entrance exterior hallway. It is furnished with a convertible sofa, shelves, a folding dining table and a console with a flat screen cable TV, a phone and a stereo. This room is also connected to Internet (via DSL and with a wireless connection).
The open kitchen is equipped with two electric plates, a combo grill/microwave, a small refrigerator, a combo washer/dryer, a coffee maker, a toaster and a kettle.
A narrow spiral staircase leads upstairs to the bedroom and the bathroom.
The bedroom has two double-glazed windows (with the same view as the living room) and a parquet floor. Since there is a high ceiling (approx. 3m or 9 ft.), there is a mezzanine double-size bed. Under the bed are a desk, shelves and wardrobes hidden behind Venetian shutters.
The tiled bathroom contains a shower cabin, a washbasin and a toilet. This room also has electric ventilation.
The apartment is equipped with a vacuum, a hairdryer, an iron and an ironing board.
Heat and hot water are electric and individually metered.
Please note that bedding and towels are not provided.
For convenient travel around Paris, the nearest metro stations are Sentier (line 3) and Réaumur Sébastopol (line 4).

The owner seemed nice and very helpful. The apartment was close to two different metro lines and close to markets. The neighborhood is great. The apartment was just right for one person. I never figured out if there was a dryer but the washing machine worked. (I guess sometimes some of these are washer/dryer combos.) |
