Apartment Rental: 3 months

Although the apartment is very well located in an old Parisian district (v ème arrondissement) being at the same time close to the Place du Pantheon and to the Bibliothèque Nationale de France and nicely decorated, it leaves a lot to be desired, in particular if one is to consider the price, 1300 euro/month (exclusive of electricity expenses).
Firstly, during winter time the apartment proved to be quite inhabitable because of the cold inside. Though the radiators were well functioning it seems that the heating system is undersized so that the temperatures inside have never reached a decent level, even on the sunniest of days. The fact that the apartment is situated right above a parking surely contributes to maintaining this chilled atmosphere. I should add that the owner, at my request, offered me a compensation for this unpleasant situation.
Secondly, the electric system was easily overloaded which frequently led to power breakdowns. For instance, it is impossible to cook and use another electric appliance at the same time. This proved particularly annoying since I had to plug an electric radiator in order to heat the air, but then the power would break down.
Thirdly, most of the time the telephone did not allow for calls being made.
Fourthly, the person in charge of the apartment was not at all friendly (quite the contrary, she was rather quarrelsome), attitude which in fact generated a series of misunderstandings.
All in all, I would not recommend this apartment, at least not during winter time.

We want to thank you for your review.
The owner of the apartment confirmed that the heat works and has been renovated, but that it cannot be controlled since it is collective.
It appears that the electricity tends to shut down when too many appliances are used at one, the owners warned the clients but our agency was not aware. We have now added a clear note in our database to better reflect this fact.
The owner does not know what happened with the phone but he double-checked it and it is working well.
We are glad that you enjoyed the convenient location of the apartment.
