You will find this studio apartment at Rue du Pot de Fer & Rue Mouffetard, on the 2nd floor (3rd for Americans) of a walk-up 3-story building from the 20th century.
Though not very big (18 SQM or about 200 SQF), this apartment has all the essentials: there is a TV with cable and DVD player; a kitchen equipped with the necessities to cook at home, including a microwave, coffee maker and toaster, and a dining table seating 2 to enjoy your home cooked meals! Other convenient features include a hairdryer, iron, and there is even a washing machine! The large window in the living room overlooks the courtyard and allows for natural light to get in, and there is another window in the kitchen, convenient for air circulation.
The historic heart of the Latin Quarter, Paris' 5th arrondissement has everything: known for its student life, lively atmosphere, cafes and restaurants, is also hosts many famous attractions and some of the best higher education establishments! Here are some spots that you should check out during your stay in Paris:
- Rue Mouffetard district: around the corner is one of Paris' oldest streets housing the city's liveliest market! Here you will find dozens of bakeries, cheese and pastry shops, as well as many fruit and vegetable stands.
- Panthéon (600m / .4 miles): do not miss this neoclassical-style mausoleum, resting place of noteworthy French thinkers such as Voltaire and Victor Hugo! If you look straight ahead from the plaza you will see the Luxembourg Gardens and even the Eiffel Tower.
- Sorbonne University: located 1 km (0.6 km) away, it is one of Europe's oldest universities and is lined with many cafés and restaurants. Check out Le Balzar, where famous names like Sartre and Camus used to enjoy traditional French cuisine! Walk around the Sorbonne to discover the little streets around it, with charming movie theaters and some of the best Parisians bookstores!
- Luxembourg Gardens: walk 1km (0.6 miles) to the east and enjoy what is considered to be one of the most beautiful parks in Paris, where people go to get a respite from the busy city center. The park hosts the French Senate, as well as a cafe and tennis courts.
The closest subway station from the studio is Place Monge. It is served by line 7 that runs north-south through the city center, passed many other attractions such as the Louvre Museum or the Paris Opéra house.
