This apartment has an amazing location, overlooking a part of the Louvre. The view is just great.

It is a very spacious apartment with very good storage options and although there were 3 of us we felt we all had our own private space.

The owner is very nice and friendly and very welcoming.

We had a delightful stay in this apartment. It was very clean and comfortable, and very spacious, with two fairly newly renovated bathrooms and a great washer-dryer.

The location couldn't be better, looking out directly at the Louvre! We (a family of 5) were very comfortable in the apartment.

The only thing that would have improved the experience would have been new linens, bedding, and towels; those provided were old and detracted somewhat from the experience.

Pluses: The apartment we had was perfectly located in the center of all the sites we wanted to see. Of course we didn't spend a lot of time in the apartment however, we couldn't have asked for a better location.

Minuses: The apartment itself had some issues. It was very clear that someone was living in the apartment and must have just been gone the time we were there because all their clothing was still there and the bathroom cabinets were full of their products. So there were no drawers to store our clothing because they were all full with someone else's belongings. The 2nd bedroom was really not a bedroom at all-just a long narrow room where they put 2 twin beds together, that's all.

In addition-I asked Claire to fix the following issues however she did not respond to all my numerous requests by email and once verbally when we first met:

-provide us with a hanger stand for 2nd bedroom since there were no places to hang anything or drawers whatsoever so our guests had to live out of their suitcases.
-both master bedroom curtains were off the rod so we cannot close the curtain at night for privacy
-TV is not working
-many lightbulbs are not working
-the washing machine did not dry clothing.

So, we made it work the best we could but I was disappointed and I would not go there again or recommend it to anyone.

Hi Julie, I am delighted to hear you enjoyed the apartment location. I'm going to try and make more storage space available for our guests. It's true you asked me for a hanger stand and that I didn't have the time to deal with it. I am sorry.

The bedroom curtains have been put back. I can confirm that the television works but it sometimes needs to be reconnected to the Internet. As for the washer/dryer, it works but you probably didn't know how to use it. I am going to leave instructions in a prominent spot for my next guests.

Thanks for your comments.

Thank you Julie for your review. Further to your comments, we decided to visit this apartment again to make sure we advertise it accurately. We now have recent pictures that better reflect the style of the apartment and how the second bedroom is set up.

The TV is broken and since it cannot be fixed, we removed it from our information until the host replaces it. We hope that you had a great time in Paris.

We had a wonderful stay in Paris with this apartment in a perfect location for us. The location of this apartment is right across from The Lourve which makes it situated in a very busy area, thus some street noise. However, the noise level shouldn't be a factor if location is a priority.

The owner was very pleasant and accommodating. As for comfort, the apt. Is very spacious and will sleep 5 people, no problem. The only recommendation I have is perhaps a more comfortable coach. Overall, great spot!

The owner of the apartment was charming and very helpful... she and her husband walked with us to her favorite shopping place and introduced us to store owners.

We were confused as to where to go on arrival... the building was at no. 2 but we had been given no apartment number. In desperation we pushed the bell to apartment no. 2, and luckily this was the correct apartment. We were met by a very pleasant and helpful maid.

The building was very grand, the entrance magnificent. The apartment itself however did not live up to its grand address. It was very poorly furnished with 'hand me down' furniture. We all agreed the couch was the most uncomfortable we had ever encountered (even in student days!), and did not wish to even touch the brown 'throw' which had been added I think to pad up the beast. We sat at night at the dining table... this was so rickety that many spillages were induced.

The beds were adequate but not particularly comfortable... the bed linen was adequate but very well used. There were too few bath towels... all mismatched and well worn. The owners' clothes were in the cupboard in the main bedroom.

The kitchen was furnished with a vast quantity of old dilapidated mismatched plates glasses dishes etc... we gained the impression that rather than throw anything out the owner had just deposited it in the holiday unit.

The bathrooms had been very nicely renovated... however the drain to the shower alcove in the main bathroom was obviously blocked and anything over a very small amount of water threatened a flood.

We could access only French speaking channels on the dilapidated television... I think where the majority of tourists are going to be non-French (and in fact English speaking) there should be access to CNN or BBC world news.

Were our expectations too high? I own and rent out a 4.5 star apartment in Australia, where standards are very regimented... and regular refurbishment to an exacting standard is part of the deal.

Because we were renting at the higher cost end of the market I certainly was expecting to be more comfortable... and not just living with a magnificent view of the back end of the Louvre!

I think this guest should have chosen an apartment with Ikea-style furniture, which is not this apartment style at all as can be seen on the website. What she calls 'hand me down' or 'poor' furniture is Louis 15th and Louis 13th furniture which is not fashionable in Australia.

As regards the shower drain, the guests did not tell me about the issue and I noticed it after they left. I fixed this issue in 2 minutes by removing the hairs from the plughole and using a plunger.

I am going to change the sofa about which the comment is true.

These negative comments are the only ones I received in a long time whilst other guests rave about the decor and the furniture.

The location of the apartment is fantastic!

The apartment has many antique wood carved pieces of furniture. The bathrooms are modern and work well. The main bedroom is wonderful with loads of room. The second bedroom is small and opens to the street.

The location of the apartment makes it worth it's cost as it is close to everything.

We stayed in 5 different accommodations during our stay in France. This one was the best of them. Claire was most gracious and helpful, and even helped drag our suitcases down the Rue Honoré. We hope to be able to be able to stay here again in the future.

Several lights/lamps were not working - same with the WiFi, which we did need to check in for onward air travel and keeping up with life's demands. The master bedroom curtains had to be safety-pinned to close for privacy and light-tight conditions for sleeping.

The landlady was helpful, but the beds were not top-notch of comfort for this holiday-priced premium property.

We loved the apartment's location, layout, and building. It was gorgeous, with incredibly high ceilings, historic decor, and huge windows from which you could see the Louvre across the street!! The lovely owner made us feel very welcome. We could walk to the Louvre and the Seine in 2 minutes. A supermarket one block away, Metro. everything. I can't imagine a better location.

Comfortable for the 5 of us, with enough beds for all (with roll-out bed).

A relatively small thing-- the apartment is so nice, I was surprised that the beds felt a bit cheap and hard. Also, having stayed in 3 other flats in Europe, I know that guests are usually given some small amenities like coffee, tea, sugar, and a small milk to get started with. Some even provided bread and jam for the first breakfast. But no big deal-- just some input if needed.

But really, it was wonderful. I'd recommend highly!

Our experience at [the Paris apartment] was impeccable. The apartment was lovely and all went very well. My only complaint (which does extend to a number of Paris apartments) is the fact that it was so difficult for postmen and couriers to deliver packages and post for me.
