This 430-ft² (40 m²) one bedroom apartment is located on the first French floor (second American) of an 18th century walk-up building in the Saint-Germain Des Pres neighborhood in the 6th arrondissement of Paris. The main entrance gate is protected by a coded security system that opens into a corridor and leads to the staircase. The ground floor is commercially occupied. Your apartment offers both southeastern and northwestern exposure, respectively facing the street and courtyard.
Due to the large windows (nearly floor-to-ceiling), the living room receives a lot of natural light. It features elegant accents like hardwood floors, wall moldings and a fireplace. The space is both comfortable and elegant, decorated in a gray palette with nice paintings and furniture. Take advantage of the numerous built-in bookcases and shelves to store your personal belongings and give the place a personal touch by adding decorative pieces of your own—you’ll feel right at home! The separate kitchen is equipped with the major appliances and utensils needed to prepare your own meals. Conveniently, there is a dishwasher so you don’t have to worry about cleaning afterward! The rental also comes with a washing machine for your laundry needs. The bedroom has a double bed and the bathroom features a bathtub with two showerheads, as well as a towel-dryer; the toilet is separate. Aside from the unit’s amenities, one of the main advantages of this one bedroom apartment is its location!
On Rue Guenegaud between Quai de Conti and Rue de Mazarine, it borders the Seine River and is situated in one of the most attractive and historic areas of the Left Bank: Saint-Germain Des Pres. This district is home to the oldest restaurant of Paris, "Le Procope", just down the street, which offers traditional French specialties and excellent fresh seafood. It was a favorite of Voltaire back in the 18th century! Not far from there is the open-air market on Rue de Buci, 0.2 miles (230 m)away. Go for a bite at the famous cafés "Deux Magots" and "Café de Flore", both reachable within a 0.3-mile stroll (480 m) along the lovely Parisian streets. Back in the day, these venues were packed with French and expatriate American patrons of the existentialist and literary movements. The St. Germain neighborhood offers a number of elegant and avant-garde fashion shops and all kinds of conveniences. You can also visit the adjacent district, or 5th arrondissement, and explore the St. Michel area of the Latin Quarter.
L’École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts is just 0.3 (480 m) miles from the building, as is the Paris-Descartes University; Sciences Po Paris is located a bit further. Cross the Seine, on the Pont des Arts, to get to famous attractions like the Louvre Museum and to the Jardin des Tuileries. It’s just a 0.4-mile walk (640 m), and on your way, you can stop by the Institut de France. The Ile de la Cite is even closer, less than 500 feet (about 150 m) away. The Jardins du Luxembourg and its Palais – the French Senate – are 0.4 miles (640 m) away. If you need to commute any further, metro stations are easily accessible. The Saint-Germain-des-Prés station (0.2 miles / 320 m)) is on the line 4, just next to the Mabillon station on line 10.

The [Paris] apartment was beautiful - just like in the pictures. The lady that was our contact was wonderful. The apartment was large and in a great location. All the main sites were in walking distance. Thank you for all your help in securing such a wonderful apartment. You made our trip better than we could have hoped. |

The apartment in [Saint Germain des Pres,] Paris was nicely furnished, clean and very well located. Both in appearance and condition, it was exactly as presented on your website. It provided the perfect base for our excursions throughout the city. The rental process was simple and straightforward, and based on subsequent conversations with other travelers who have rented apartments in Paris, we believe our unit was fairly priced. We would not hesitate to use the services of NY Habitat in future travels. |

Extremely convenient location 1 block from the Seine, plenty of bars/restaurants, and St. Germain shopping. Some noise from morning traffic and late night revelers, but not too bad. |

We loved the apartment. It was well appointed, clean, wonderfully located [in St Germain des Prés, Paris] and downright sexy. We would not hesitate to ask for it again should our travels include Paris (and how could they not!) |
