South France Accommodation - 3 Bedroom Rental in Aix-en-provence, Provence (PR-979)

This 3 bedroom / 2 bathroom apartment is a great find in the very center of Aix-en-Provence, one of the most popular destinations in the south of France. Not only does it have three bedrooms, this top floor apartment also has two balconies with fabulous views over the typically French rooftops and the countryside. You can even see Mount Saint Victoire, immortalized in the paintings of Cézanne.

This tastefully decorated apartment is on the 6th floor (considered 7th for Americans) of an elevator building. An intercom system allows you to talk to visitors at the entrance. There is a parking space for those who have a car, available at an extra fee.

Inside the apartment there is a living room with an open dining area to one side -- made vibrant with lovely blue accent walls and matching easy chairs. The dining table can seat four easily, though you can also enjoy your meals on the small patio table on the balcony if the weather is nice! On the other side of the apartment are the three bedrooms. The master bedroom even has a king size bed! All three bedrooms have access to the second balcony, where you will see the famous mountain that many impressionist painters, most notably Cézanne, have admired. In the middle of the apartment, you will find the kitchen and the two full bathrooms -- one with a shower and one with a bathtub. The kitchen is fully equipped and has its own eating area. You even have a dishwasher and a washing machine, and wireless Internet is available.

At the foot of the building, you will find yourself just 300 meters from the historic center of Aix en Provence. Avenue Jules Ferry is just 7 short blocks south of the Cours Mirabeau, the thoroughfare of the city, and has plenty of shops along it as you walk along the way. There is also a lovely park nearby, the Parc Jourdan, which has benches to relax on and grassy spots that are perfect for picnics! You can also jog on its paths. This part of the South of France is great because you can enjoy fantastic food and wine in the city, but then take a break to view the lovely fields of the countryside and hike near the Mount Saint Victoire. Aix en Provence is also home to several annual festivals, most notably for music. You can also enjoy your kitchen by picking up fresh produce from one of the many local markets - there is at least one held daily!
