Assigned Housing In Paris - Student Housing For Groups

The Assigned Housing Program offers a significant discount over the standard agency fees when your school agrees to provide New York Habitat with groups of students who are willing to accept assigned apartment housing.

For this program, New York Habitat has developed a streamlined process which allows us to offer unprecedented service to students while significantly reducing the cost of the apartment fees.

Schools that choose the Assigned Housing Program enter into a contract with New York Habitat. The contract specifies the number of students involved from a given program, the detailed requirements of each apartment and the agency fee. The agency fees are paid directly by the school entering into the program and the student is responsible for the rent. Once the agreement is formalized, New York Habitat provides students with a detailed 10-step process that helps them finalize the housing assignment. The process is as follows:

1. Student receives the housing timeline.
2. Student must complete a pre-questionnaire to determine specific requirements.
3. New York Habitat assigns a housing option to the student.
4. Student decides to either:
   • A. Accept the assigned housing. (move to step 5)
   • B. Reject the assigned housing. (return to step 3 for up to 2 assignments)
5. Student receives the necessary paperwork to complete the reservation.
6. Student completes the paperwork and pays a deposit to the apartment owner to
   reserve the apartment.
7. New York Habitat sends a confirmation notice to indicate that the reservation has
   been completed.
8. Both student and apartment owner enter into lease agreement.
9. Student informs the owner of arrival information.
10. Student meets owner to tour apartment, receive keys and move in!
