Welcome to central London and your one bedroom rental apartment, nestled in the quiet residential community of St John’s Wood in Westminster. This building’s location is on Alma Square between Hamilton Terrace and Abbey Road, just a short distance from transportation. The neighborhood itself is one of the most exclusive in which to live in London.
The apartment itself is a walk-up, located on the lower ground floor. Fully furnished and with 46 square meters of space (495 square feet), you will have quite a bit of room in which to relax and be secure while out exploring London itself. Upon entry to the apartment, the bedroom itself is located immediately to the left; within is a king-sized bed. Passing the bedroom, you will enter the living area. To the right is a kitchen, open to the living area, which has all the conveniences you might need to take care of your own meals (including a fridge/freezer, oven, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker). The living area itself is furnished with a double sofa bed, a dining table with seating for four, a television with cable, DVD, and VCR, and many other accessories. Two foldaway screens are present to provide privacy, if the living area’s sofa bed is to be utilized for sleeping guests. The living area opens out onto an enclosed, private terrace, with seating and a table. The bathroom is just past the living room and is a full bath, with a shower and tub. There are two desks in the apartments (in the living room and bedroom) that you can use as work stations. Wireless Internet access and laundry are both available within the apartment as well.
This location in St John's Wood offers easy access to public transportation, giving you access to all tourist attractions, a number of shopping and dining opportunities, and anyplace else you might want to go. The nearest London Underground (subway) station is St John's Wood, and is only about 0.6 km away (0.4 miles) to the northeast, about an eight minute walk and two streets away. The Maida Vale stop is also in the area. If you’re a fan of the Beatles, then you’re just around the corner from the studios where they recorded their famous Abbey Road album (only 0.3 km/0.2 miles to the east, one street over). If you’re looking for a place in the area to relax, the spacious green area of Regent’s Park is just to the east, about 1.6 km (1 mile) away. The famous Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park is just a bit over 3 km to the south (2 miles), and just a bit further south are three museums (Natural History, Science, and Victoria & Albert Museums), all about 5.3 km (3.3 miles) away. Buckingham Palace is only 4.2 km (2.6 miles) to the south as well. Shopping in Harrods department store is about four and a half kilometers (2.8 miles) to the south as well. The location is great for those looking to explore or experience London at its finest!

In total, I spent 8 months at this property and was very happy there. There are 2 tube stations nearby, approximately 7 minutes' walk. The owner was always helpful and meticulous with any concern of which there were few. She was a delightful landlandy and we had many memorable conversations. In fact, the landlady spotted any issues herself and was always reachable. She sent me travel disruption updates, provided all details about the neighbourhood, where to shop, how to get around and passed on information on exhibits (e.g. an orchids show) which she thought would interest me. At the end of 2013, she gave me a beautiful wall calendar for 2014. It was the sum total of all of these details and her true concern for the tenant which impressed me most. The apartment itself is huge by London standards with plenty of room for 3-4 people. The best descriptor is "cozy". Every utensil one can think of is there, great crockery, appliances, etc. There is a beautiful patio which tenants can enjoy. The price is extremely fair given size and location. It's just a couple of hundred yards back from the famous Abbey Road Beatles crossing and this is on the way to St. John's Wood tube station and it was interesting to see how many people were posing to duplicate the album cover. It is a serene neighbourhood, upscale and quiet, very leafy. |

An excellent place to stay: location is among the best in London - it's perhaps the only "inner suburb" which is truly nice and just minutes from Bond Street by tube. The property is on the lower ground floor, so it doesn't get a lot of direct day light, but it has a fantastic patio which does compensate. |

Thank you. The Patio walls are painted white to reflect as much light as possible, but London in winter is not very luminous. At the front where the bedroom is, there is a paved area and the entrance to the flat is three steps down from street level. |

The apartment is excellent value for money. It is very well located, with two subway stations for different lines five minutes away, several buses that go to the main downtown areas and just thirty minutes to central Oxford Street. Thirty minutes in London is like saying it's here next door. |

We enjoyed our stay very much. The flat is very central and really quiet at the same time. There are two tube stations nearby and many things in walking distance like Primrose Hill and Regent's Canal. |

The London apartment worked very well. It is in a nice residential area, and the landlady - who lives upstairs - takes good care of her tenants. I would recommend it without qualification to a colleague. |
