Nice Bed & Breakfast in the heart of Greenwich Village.
|
This is a typical low-rise, walk-up building located on Bleecker Street at the intersection of Christopher Street in the heart of historic Greenwich Village. There is a buzzer system at the front door.
This nicely decorated apartment is situated on the third floor of a prewar building. It is facing a backyard; hence it is very quiet. The entire apartment hard wood floor and the walls are freshly painted, they are yellow which gives the apartment a very warm atmosphere.
Entering the apartment is to the kitchen and dining area with stove, microwave, toaster, fridge and sink - adequate for light cooking. There is also a dining table with three chairs. A shelf features antique and modern china. This room is used as the common space as there is no living room.
The main bedroom is cozy and inviting with a Queen size bed, which sleeps comfortably two people, nice moldings and a beautiful crystal chandelier. Three windows with lovely curtains are facing the backyard. In front of the window is a desk with a chair. A sideboard with drawers as well as a closet are available for your personal belongings. A mirror and several picture frames adorn the walls. The armoire contains the stereo, TV and VCR. The owner occupies the other bedroom. The standard bathroom to share is painted white and includes a shower/tub, a basin and a toilet. Sheets and towels are provided, a phone is available for local calls. Bleecker Street is full of local shops and ethnic restaurants. There are many produce stores whose stalls of fresh fruits and vegetables attract local residents. Greenwich Village is one of the most interesting neighborhoods in New York City. Its diverse population includes families, couples and singles from all walks of life - writers, artists, musicians, teachers and professionals. There are boutiques selling everything from the very exotic to the mundane and there are restaurants, clubs, coffeehouses, gourmet food shops, and movie theaters specializing in artistic or independent films.
Public transport is very convenient: the 1/9 train stops at Christopher Street, only a few steps away from the apartment.
