Size: 190 square foot Deluxe Efuru Room, with shared bath (shared with one other guest). Sleeps 1-4. There is an additional nightly charge for third and fourth guests.
Building: Located within the Historic Mount Morris Park District of Central Harlem, Manhattan the Deluxe Efuru Room is located on the 3rd floor of a turn of the century brownstone. This 1885 fully restored Victorian residence is situated on a tree lined street and just minutes away from all conveniences, transportation and entertainment. With your own key, you will enter the Guest House / B&B through both an exterior gate and internal door (both locked at all times). At night, the entry way is lit by a brand new motion detector. For your convenience, the brownstone residence provides an onsite exercise room with state of the art equipment and a coin operated laundry facility.
Interior: The Efuru Daughter of Heaven Room with rich golden color tones and hardwood floors is the signature room of the Efuru Guest House/B&B. This spacious room has two windows looking out onto the street, it is equipped with a queen size bed, night table, full length clothes closet & a second closet with shelves which is ideal for stacking clothes, table/desk, chairs, TV, air conditioner, ceiling fan, alarm clock, hair dryer, iron & ironing board and small refrigerator stocked upon arrival with complimentary food and beverage items. The bathroom with its pink and gold color scheme has a bathtub and shower and is shared with one other guest. All linens, towels and soap are provided.
Neighborhood: Stepping out of the brownstone and walking half a block, you'll find yourself on the expansive Lenox Avenue where you will immediately feel the energy and witness the transformation of the New Harlem Renaissance. The Historic Mount Morris Park District of Central Harlem, Manhattan contains a wide variety of restaurants, jazz clubs, retail & shopping, cultural & religious institutions and architectural buildings. The Historic District is just a 7-minute walk from Central Park, with its public swimming pool, concerts, horseback riding, zoo, skating rink, jogging and bicycle paths. In addition, you will be conveniently located near Columbia University, St. John The Divine Cathedral, the 5th Ave. Museum Mile, The Apollo Theater, The Cotton Club and Yankee Stadium.
Other: Public transportation is convenient and abundant; you are near all area airports, bus & rail terminals and 15 minutes away from midtown Manhattan. On the corner of 120th Street you will find the M7 bus, which takes you the entire length of Manhattan via Broadway, and one block away is the Fifth Ave. bus. You are also a 4 block walk from the #2 and #3 Subway line, which takes you throughout New York City.
