This 1 bedroom is located in the East Village in a prewar, Tenement, walk-up building. There are 33 units in the building and there are five floors (no elevator). This building has a front door security system with double doors and a locked security gate. The building intercom does not work.
This apartment is very basic and simple. It is located on the ground floor. it is approximately 450 sq. ft and has hardwood floors.
When you enter into the apartment, there is the open kitchen and the bathroom on the right side. The open kitchen is equipped with a Fridge/freezer, a microwave and some cupboards. There is a small dining table with 2 chairs. Next to the kitchen there is the living room. This room is furnished with a double size futon sofa bed and a TV.
The bedroom has a double size bed, a dresser and a bedside table with a lamp. The bathroom has a bathtub protected by a plastic curtain all around. Sheets and towels provided upon request.
A laundry facility is located neary on First Avenue.
This apartment is great for the young at heart travelers, who don't mind the bohemian life style of the East Village.
There are numerous inexpensive restaurants of every variety, and many wonderful food stores. There are also many fun bars and clubs in the neighborhood as well as movie theatres.
Transportation: This apartment is located one block away from the L train on 14th Street. It is also approximately a 10-minute walk away from Union Square, where you can find a large subway station where you can catch the N, R, and 4,5,6 trains. Yellow taxis can be called at all times of the day or night.
