Two bedroom Loft between Union Square and Flat Iron District
|
New York City, Flatiron District / Grammercy Park area.
Size: 2 bedroom Loft of 2500 sq. ft. including mezzanines, 2 bathrooms. Good for a family or a couple who likes a lot of space. Usage of in total 1500 sq. ft. for the tenants (as one of the bedrooms is closed off).
Building: An 1850's Historic cast iron building originally built as a department store with Greek columns and 13-foot ceilings and 8 foot windows.
The large living room is brightened with northern light from the large windows brightening the large living area and the television / home entertainment area, which has cable, VCR, DVD, CD / laser disk player, and record player. Both are air conditioned by a large unit but on cooler days opening the large windows cools the room nicely.
There is a first bedroom/office in the front. It also has a separate AC. In the first bedroom there is a queen sized bed on the lower level and desk above.
The second bedroom is on the mezzanine. It has full and single size beds with a large closet and dresser for clothes. It also has AC. Bed linens are provided.
There is a full bathroom that has a tub/shower, w/c and sink with vanity.
The dining room has a large table, which can seat ten people. There is everything needed for cooking including a microwave, espresso machine, food processor and plenty of dinnerware and glasses.
The bathroom is divided into two parts. There is one room with a tub/shower. Then in the studio area accress the living room there is a separate W/C and sink (powder room).
For your convenience, there is a washer and dryer in the loft.
There is security in the building with double locking doors in the lobby and a keyed elevator so that no one can come to your floor without your calling the elevator or using the key.
Neighborhood: The loft is right next to Fifth Avenue with its nice boutiques and great entertainment. The Union Square area with some of NY's best restaurants, and the Farmers Market four times a week for fresh vegetables, fish, meat, bread, cheeses and all sorts of flowers is just around the corner. It is near public transportation and also in walking distance of SoHo and Greenwich Village.
