One bedroom apartment on the garden level of a townhouse
|
This one bedroom apartment is located in the Clinton Hill section of Brooklyn. It is on the garden floor of a townhouse, which is about 100 years old. The area offers the extra space of not being in downtown and a nice quiet street while still only being about 20 minutes by train to downtown Manhattan.
The apartment has 3 rooms plus an eat-in kitchen. The size is about 825 square feet. It is located on the garden level of the building and offers shared access to the backyard.
The front room of the apartment is the living room, which is accessed through bedroom in a railroad style. The room has two large windows, which face the street. There is a sofa, a large TV and a VCR in the room. It is lightly furnished leaving some room to bring other furniture.
The bedroom is located just off the kitchen. It has a queen-sized bed as well as a dresser in it. There is a window, which faces into the back room of the house, which is a sunroom. There is a dresser and some closet space in this room.
The third room is the sunroom located on the back of the apartment. It is surrounded by windows and offers access to the back yard. This room does not have furnishings in it. It is a good room to set up a desk or a chair to read and relax.
The backyard is shared with the owner upstairs. The owner request that the backyard usage be kept to quiet usage.
The kitchen is eat-in there is a dining table with 2 chairs. There is a microwave, stove, and refrigerator. All of the cabinets are a new light wood color. The kitchen is stocked with the essentials including pots, pans, utensils, dinnerware and glasses.
The neighborhood of Clinton Hill has become popular with many looking for reasonably value apartments and plenty of space. There are many basic shops just a block away on Myrtle Avenue including banks, supermarkets and cleaners. 2 more blocks away is Dekalb Avenue which is a main shopping street and has restaurants and more retail. The G train is about an 8 minute walk from the apartment and offers a convenient connection to the A,C at Hoyt-Schmerhorn for access to Manhattan. It is also possible to walk up Dekalb train stop about 15 minutes away.
