Located on West 24th Street & 6th Avenue in Chelsea, this one bedroom loft is fully furnished and air-conditioned. It is on the 7th and top floor (considered 6th by Europeans) of an elevator building from 1903, secured with a buzzer/ video intercom and exposed to the south and west.
The one bedroom NYC apartment has two entrance doors, one that is accessed from the stairs and the other from the elevator. The unit has an elongated layout with hardwood floors and exposed beams throughout and ceiling fans in every room. You will conveniently have access to internet and an in-unit washer and dryer. There are two living areas in the apartment, one with windows overlooking the street, while the other looks onto a neighboring building. Both are furnished with comfortable sofas and coffee tables, and one of them additionally has a dining table that seats four guests. In between both living spaces, you’ll find an office area with a long desk and chair, an open and fully equipped kitchen that has tiled floors and white cabinetry, and the full bathroom. The bedroom offers privacy given its location at the far right end of the unit, and features interesting wall art and a closet where you can store your belongings. There are several plants in the living area that give the place a homey feel, and you are asked to kindly water them during your stay.
Chelsea is an amazing neighborhood in Manhattan with much to offer. You’ll find numerous parks close to your rental—Chelsea Park (7 blocks), Union Square (10 blocks), where you can visit the Greenmarket, and Madison Square Park (2 blocks), home to the popular burger joint Shake Shack. Other good dining options in the area include Boqueria Flatiron, Momoya, and Le Songe Vert, all within a 6-block radius. Head 2 blocks east of the apartment to the intersection of Broadway and 5th Avenue, both thoroughfares lined with fashion boutiques and specialty stores, and visit the iconic Flatiron Building. Academic institutions in the vicinity include the Fashion Institute of Technology and New York University. You can easily walk to adjacent neighborhoods like the Garment District, the Flatiron District, the Meatpacking District and the West Village.
Use public transport to get around the rest of New York, as it is both convenient to this apartment, as well as economical. There are several nearby subway stations near the apartment: 23 Street / 6 Avenue (1 block)—F and M trains, 23 Street / 7 Avenue (1 block)—1 train, and 23 Street / 8 Avenue (2 blocks)—C and E trains.
