You will feel right at home in this inviting four bedroom Crown Heights apartment. Warm colors and amazing antique details make it a special find. The furnished apartment is located at Brooklyn Avenue & Dean Street, and sits on the 2nd floor (considered the 1st floor by Europeans) of a historic 4-story walk-up building dating from the turn of the 19th century.
With four bedrooms, a living room and dining room, as well as a separate kitchen, there is plenty of space for you to settle into. All the rooms except the kitchen and bathroom are lined with hardwood floors set off by the floor and walls mouldings. The furnishings range from antique to contemporary, and go beyond the minimum, with a dining room table and two sofas in the living room. In the dining room, you'll find an old-fashioned fireplace and the original built-in shelving, perfect for displaying glassware. Bay windows offer a view from the living room to the east and north, giving a view of the street below.
Just outside your door is Brooklyn Avenue, a tree-lined street lined with colorful townhouses, the very image evoked when you hear the word "Brooklyn". You can walk north three blocks to Fulton Street (1mi/1.5km), one of the areas main commercial avenues, or south down to Brower Park (0.3mi/480m), a great place to relax with benches and a grassy athletic field. The Brooklyn Children's Museum (0.2mi/320m) is situated right next to the park, if you want to take the kids on an outing.
For transit to other parts of New York, you can catch the A/C trains at the Kingston-Throop Avenues / Fulton Street station, only four blocks away. The A train runs express, making travel around New York City faster.
