LOCATION: New York City-West Village, Hudson Street between Leroy and Clarkson Street
SIZE: 1 bedroom duplex with 1 bathroom. The downstairs living area is approximately 700 square feet and the upstairs living area is approximately 300 square feet with a walk in closet.
BUILDING: The building is known a Printing House named after its previous role as a printing factory during the turn of the century. This prestigious building takes up a quarter of the block in the quiet section of West Village, right across from an open park. It is equipped with two-freight size elevators and 24 hour doorman and complete valet service. There is a laundry room in the basement. The building also offers a hi-end health club with roof top pool and exercising room in the glass encased top floor overlooking a spectacular New York skyline. Each floor has its own foyer with a locked entrance door and intercom, offering enhanced security. There is an on sight building management office. There is a paid parking garage behind the building.
INTERIOR: There is wall size window facing west that brightly illuminate the exceptionally high ceiling which is about 20feet. The floors are of wood. There is an open kitchen with bar counter, and a sizeable storage room on the first floor. The living room consist of o contemporary sofa, dining table for two, two oversized tropical plants, television, telephone. The computer equipment shone in the pictures will not stay in the apartment, the desk area will be clean. An oak staircase leads to the wood floor bedroom, which overlooks the living space below. It has a queen size bed, which is a high rise platform type, also in the bedroom is a large desk with a lamp. There is a spacious walk-in closet and an additional space for storage. The unit will comfortably accommodate one person or a couple. The kitchen is contemporary in design and is equipped with an open wooden counter-top bar, a large refrigerator, dishwasher, gas stove, coffee maker, some plates and cups. The bathroom is mosaic tiled and contains a bathtub and shower. Towels are provided.
NEIGHBORHOOD: The building is located on a quiet portion of Hudson Street verging on Tribeca. There are two major supermarkets nearby. Along Hudson Street are various sophisticated restaurants and landmark eateries indigenous to the West Village. Jazz clubs, theaters, bars are all within walking distance. Just two blocks away is Hudson waterfront with a tree-lined esplanade with an exclusive runway used daily by joggers, dog-walkers, roller-bladers and bicyclists. Young professionals, artists and families reside in this area making the neighborhood a uniquely peaceful community in the heart of the West Village.
OTHERS: Conveniently situated near subways (1,9,A, C, E, B, D, Fand Q lines) which are all within a ten minute walk. There is a bus stop across the street on Hudson Street, which is for the M10 running uptown. Taxis are easy to catch from right in front of the building all day. The Federal Express office as well as the US Postal Service is only two blocks away. The post office is five minutes away on Hudson Street. Banks are also located within a two-block radius.
EMERGENCY: Police: 911 (and a neighborhood police precinct is within walking distance). Fire: 911 (a nearby fire station is on 6th Avenue and Hudson Street). Saint Vincent's Hospital: 604-7000 (on 7th Avenue and 12th Street).
