One bedroom in the East Village.

Location: East Village, Avenue A and 11th Street. L train to 1st Avenue.
Building: Prewar building, 4th floor walk-up with no elevator.
Interior: Fourth floor five room classic NYC "railroad apartment" with many windows and an unobstructed uptown view of the Chrysler Building. Bedroom has queen-sized bed with ample closet space, and is seperated from living room by french doors. Kitchen has large fridge, table, and great view. Seperate study-room has desk that faces window and view, a computer printer and many bookshelves. Bathroom is small but clean with shower-tub. The apartment will be furnished with sheets and towels, kitchen supplies including simple pots, pans, cutlery and dishes. There is an air conditioner.
Neighborhood: The East Village still retains its funky and trendy character, and is one of the most fun and popular neighborhoods in the city. There is a famous 24-hour restaurant on one corner and a 24-hour grocery on the other. This makes this part of the block well-lit and well-trafficked day and night, which improves security. There are dozens and dozens of cheap, wonderful ethnic restaurants of every persuasion within a 5-minute walk, as many bars and small clubs, and the greenery of Tompkins Square Park a block away. There are also many boutiques on this block, which makes for terrific shopping.
