Lovely ground floor Studio Alcove in Prewar building with laundry, gym, and playroom. Southern exposure 1 block from Central Park and two subway lines. Nine foot beamed ceilings and hardwood floors, good light. Recently furnished and redone. Close proximity to markets, pharmacy and Post Office. Quiet neighborhood feel in Uptown Manhattan. Extra deep old fashioned tub in bathroom. Some towels and linens provided. Perfect alternative to corporate housing. Please note that the apartment has DSL, printer and scanner fax option.
The Upper West Side is one of the most sought after residential areas in Manhattan because of its family atmosphere coupled with its liberal attitude and an abundance of conveniences. The famed Zabar's specialty food store, and the Fairway market are where New Yorkers love to shop for food. There is a large Barnes and Noble bookstore on Broadway. There are also many movie theaters within a few blocks and restaurants galore. Transportation is fabulous.
