Description - New York Furnished Apartment (NY-7834) See this page in   Français   Deutsch   Español   Italiano
This is a charming and roomy alcove studio with a wood-burning fireplace.
This approximately 500 sq. ft. studio is located on the ground floor of a prewar brownstone on a treelined block in Chelsea. There is an intercom system and double doors in the front entrance hall of the building. Entrance is by private key only. Laundry facilities are conveniently located one block away. This is a perfect apartment for a corporate relocation.

As you enter the space there is a short hallway with a very large closet. This opens up to the main living space. There are hardwood floors throughout this space and one wall is expsposed brick. This gives the space a warm and inviting feeling. The living area consists of a couch that faces the woodburning fireplace and an entertainment center. The entertainment area houses a TV, VCR, cable, and a small portable stereo unit. There are two large windows that face out to the street there is southern exposure and the apartment is quite bright.

A small nook houses the queen-sized bed and adjacent to the bed is a dresser for additional storage. The kitchen area is set in an alcove to the right of the living area. The floor area is tiled for easy cleaning. There is a dining table and chairs for 4 people. There is a trolley that holds the microwave and the kitchen if fully equipped with pots, pans and all cooking utensils. The kitchen also has a full refrigerator, a dishwasher, coffeemaker and toaster. It has a full sized bathtub with a shower and a pedestal sink. All sheets and towels are provided for the guest.

Neighborhood: Chelsea has recently developed into an extremely lively art gallery neighborhood to the west, which has spawned numerous excellent restaurants. There are movie theaters, great shopping and all conveniences along Eighth Avenue and further west. To the east, both Fifth and Sixth Avenues between 14th to 23rd Street are lively shopping areas with a huge variety clothing and specialty of stores. A ten-minute walk south puts you in the heart of Greenwich Village, while the same time to the north gets you to 34th Street and Madison Square Garden or Macys. The Famous Chelsea Piers Sports Complex is a ten minute walk west on the Hudson River with health and fitness facilities (pool, gym, classes, rock climbing etc.) roller blading, two ice skating rinks, bowling alley, driving range and a wide variety of children's programs. There are endless things to do in this neighborhood and a wide variety of great restaurants.
