Location: Gramercy, on 22nd Street between 1st and 2nd Avenue. Close to the 6 train at Park Avenue and 23rd Street.
Building: Prewar walk-up building. Laundry facilities across the block. Apartment located ion the 2nd floor.
Interior: Very bright and clean railroad style one bedroom with hardwood floors. Approximately 400 sq. ft. The living room is about 200 sq. ft., has a sleeper sofa, a dining table, a TV with VCR and cable. The apartment has a working fireplace. The bedroom has a queen-size bed and has great closet space and A/C. The kitchenette has a fridge, coffee maker and toaster and counter top space. The bathroom has a shower/tub.
This neighborhood is south of the UN and Murray Hill, East of Gramercy and North of the East Village. It is a private and family oriented area with many shops. It is one of the most peaceful areas of the city. There is a mix of students, business professionals and families. There aremany shops, eateries, and nightclubs in the area. The school of Visual Arts is nearby. In this part of town neoclassical architecture and generous avenues create an aura of refinement. The apartment is located within walking distance of several Parks, including Union Square Park and Gramercy Park, which make this neighborhood one of the most attractive areas on the island of Manhattan. Many students and young professionals crowd the cafes, clubs and restaurants that have sprung up during past years.
