This uniquely designed one bedroom/ 1 bath apartment is located in NoHo (North of Houston), a neighborhood in downtown Manhattan on Mott and Houston Street. It is approximately 450 SQF (approx. 42 SQM) and it is on the 5th floor (4th for Europeans) of this 7 story walk-up prewar building. This apartment is equipped with laundry facilities in the building, a security system and a pleasant common garden in the courtyard for your leisure. You will be very comfortable in this renovated apartment accented with its modern designer look.
As you enter the apartment, you will be greeted by the stainless steel kitchen. It is coated with brick and white walls and there are multiple chestnut cupboards against the wall. This open kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, two stove top burners (no formal oven), a coffeemaker, toaster and a dishwasher.
Adjacent to the kitchen is the bathroom, equipped with a one of a kind Plexiglas translucent shower. It has both a shower and a tub, a window to bring in plenty of fresh air and towels/washcloths are available upon arrival. (Please note that the translucent Plexiglas wall only separates the shower from the living room).
The living room is accented with a sofa, a Japanese style dining table with red seating cushions, four windows to illuminate this area and air conditioning. From the windows, you will have views of the NoHo neighborhood. This space is slightly elevated from the kitchen area, making it more cozy and comfortable for you.
Along the exposed brick wall is a red curtain leading to the bedroom. The bedroom is furnished with a full-sized bed, a television and there are several shelves over the bed for storage. Beside the bed is a light hardwood closet for extra pieces of clothing. There are also intimate lights attached to the walls (near the bed) to serve as reading lights or extra exposure and a window that provides nice views below of the pleasant courtyard garden.
As you step outside of this one bedroom apartment, you will be in the trendy part of New York in this NoHo neighborhood. There are a variety of shops and restaurants for you to enjoy. You are at the crossroads of several popular Manhattan neighborhoods, so will be steps away from Greenwich Village, SoHo (which is ideal for shoppers) and Chinatown. Just around the corner of the apartment is Crate and Barrell, Adidas and Best Buy for the modern shopping district. You are walking distance from the popular Washington Square Park and along East Houston Street are plenty of markets where you can buy groceries or pick up a snack. For night life, you could not pick a better location with bars and cafes and not to mention clubs around the blocks. There is always something to do around this area!
To further explore the NoHo neighborhood and New York City, the closest train stations are the 6 on Bleecker Street / Lafayette Street, the B,D,F, and M trains on Broadway/Lafayette Street and Houston Street and N and R trains on Prince Street/Broadway.
