Location: NYC, East Village, Second Avenue between 9th and 10th Streets.
Size: 2 bedrooms. 1 bath. Approximately 800 square feet
Building: Turn of the century construction in excellent condition, with mosaic tiled hallways and marbled staircase. The apartment is 4 flights up. Entry is gained by an intercom/buzzer system.
Interior: You enter the apartment via a very long hallway to the very quiet and very bright living and sleeping sections. It has very high ceilings, French doors and at least one window in every room. It overlooks a private courtyard and part of the St. Marks Church. The kitchen is large and features a full-size fridge, oven, dishwasher, and dining table for 4. The bathroom is modern, tiled, and has a tub with shower. The living room has a hardwood floor covered with an oriental carpet, an antique table, chairs, and a velvet chaise. Bedroom 1 is rented in share Its furnishings are all completely brand new. (A twin size bed, television on a stand, a wardrobe unit, a shelving/storage unit, a rug, mirror, ironing board and iron). The room has a window and is nice and bright. There is a phone jack in the room and the apartment is also High Speed Internet Access ready. """" The 2nd bedroom is only available for vacation rentals. The room is furnished with a double bed, dresser, sofa and desk. There are 3 windows in the 2nd bedroom. There is a queen sized bed, a/c and a desk. The room get plenty of light from it windows.
Neighborhood: Outside the door is everything you need! It is packed with restaurants, clubs, bars, stores, and boutiques. There are several movie theatres within a few blocks, delicatessens, supermarkets, bakeries, pharmacies, bookstores, Off-Broadway theatres, - you name it, its here! Tompkins Square and Union Square Park are only a few minutes away by foot.
Transportation: The 4,5 and 6 trains are at 2 blocks away at Astor Place. The N, R, Q, and W are at Broadway and 8th street. Up and downtown, and crosstown busses are just around the corner.
