Two rooms are for rent in an Upper West Side apartment building
|
The listing is located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. The building is pre-war, and has an elevator, a security-intercom system, and laundry facilities in the basement.
The seventh floor apartment is bright, spacious, and 1800 square feet. There are 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, and hardwood floors and many windows throughout.
The bedrooms available to rent are about 200 square feet each, in size. They are each furnished with a double bed, a dresser, a desk, and a large closet. There are windows facing towards the center of the building, but because the apartment is on the top floor, sunlight fills the house in the morning and at midday. As of (2/18/08), bedroom #1 has olive green walls with white trim, parquet floors, and a bookcase, a mirror, a closet and a desk with file cabinets and a double dresser. Bedroom #2 is sunshine yellow with white trim, cherry wood floors, a desk, a mirror, a large closet, and a dresser. The bedroom pictures shown represent a typical room in the apartment; however, the type of furniture and the layout are subject to change. The owner provides the linens.
There is an heirloom tiled (1950's style) bathroom, which is shared with other roommates. There is a window, a tub/shower combination with cosmetics storage, a w/c, and a sink with a medicine cabinet.
The living room is divided into two rooms with a pocket door. One room has a sofa, a bookcase and chairs, a cable TV. with a DVD player, a stereo, a decorative fireplace and radiator, as well as, an entertainment center. The other room has a dining table and chairs, with a decorative fireplace and radiator. The large pocket door between the two rooms can be opened to make one big room.
The kitchen is separate and open, with a window and hardwood floors. It is equipped with an heirloom stove and double sinks, a refrigerator, toaster, coffeemaker, many cabinets, a small table set, shelves, and floor cabinets. The kitchen is well equipped with pots, pans, utensils, and dishes.
The neighborhood has many restaurants ranging from BBQ to Chinese, and lots of natural products and convenience stores. The 1,2,3 trains are available at 96th Street and Broadway, the 104 bus travels along Broadway and the cross-town bus is on 96th street.
