This apartment is wonderful, only downfall was no internet cable connection in the bedrooms and the cellphone connection was iffy at best. I bought a micro cell to help with the phone. Landlord is very nice, travels a lot. I had access to everything in apartment but her room and office. The apartment is located right across from Riverside Park, very quiet neighborhood, subway is a block and a half away, very convenient. Bedroom is very roomy, has a closet, air conditioner, dresser, bookshelf, full size bed. Bathroom is clean and nice. I had my own towels and sheets, but there were some available. Room faces the street, but was very quiet. |

I appreciate Erik's evaluation of the lodgings in my duplex on the Upper West Side. I will see that the wi-fi situation is addressed in the near future. I probably will need a booster setup for the lower level. The first floor works well. As for cellphone reception, my carrier is Verizon, which works in the entire house as well as the rear garden. I can't speak for other carriers but if there is a problem I will address it as well. |

The apartment that I rented in NY is in a very good location, which is its main asset. It is my first roommate share so I have nothing to compare with. Personally, although I had a very good relationship with the owners, I didn't use their kitchen because it is right in the middle of their living quarters. A coffee machine or even a small fridge in the bedroom would give more intimacy to the tenant. The only thing that bothered me was that there was no wifi in the bedroom. |

The owner replied that boarders are always welcome to cook at any time. In regard to the Wifi, the modem and router are upstairs on the parlor floor and the bedrooms are downstairs, so although the reception in the living and dining rooms as well as the den off the kitchen are fine, reception in the bedrooms is not optimal. |

We had a wonderful time with Sybille. She is a delightful person, very smart and independent, and we enjoyed good times together. I have nothing negative to report and have invited her to return if she ever comes back to New York. |
