West End Avenue and 101 Street
This building is located on West End Avenue in a prewar landmark building with a full time doorman and elevator. The building is very clean and safe. The lobby is adorned with sofas and armchairs where guests can wait. The apartment is on the 9th floor and is very old & spacious measuring over 1400 square feet. It is a three-bedroom, three-bathroom apartment with a large living room and a separate dining room. Laundry facilities are in the basement. The owner has lived in this apartment for a long time so it has a very classic feel to it.
When you enter the apartment, there is a hallway leading to the living room and to your right you turn into another hallway that passes the dining room. Bedroom#1 is bright and very large, with hard wood floors and a large rug and furnished with a queen size bed and two night tables on each side with drawers and one lamp, a desk and TV with cable. In addition to that one you will also find a bookshelf, a big chest of drawers with two mirrors, an armchair and a small bench. You can enjoy two very large walk-in closets. A separate phone line is available. The room has two windows looking out onto the side street. The roommate will have a private bathroom with bathtub and shower, sink, toilet and a medicine cabinet. The bathroom has a window, too.
Bedroom#2 has a window and is about 13 X 7 square feet. It is furnished with a single bed, 2 dressers, and a large closet. Although it may seem small but the room is quiet comfortable because the room is long making way for a lot of space. Your bed is along the wall and you have along dresser nearby where you can put a TV. The room is cable ready so all you have to do is connect it. There is a very large closet just for you with a hanging rod and more storage space above. The best thing is you have a PRIVATE Bathroom in your room. Your bathroom has a WC and tub. Behind the bathroom door is the sink. Your bedroom has a window. Your bedroom is very private because it is completely away from the rest of the apartment.
The neighborhood is convenient for transportation and shopping. Proximity of Broadway for groceries and supermarkets is great. With Central Park a half a block away you have many options of how to pass time. You have a choice of using the swimming pool, tennis courts, basketball courts, and baseball fields. In the winter the lake freezes over and you can ice-skate. The block where the apartment is located is charming with trees and a mixture of high buildings and brownstones. Restaraunts for all ethnicity, delis, and grocery stores nearby. The area is friendly, nice and residential. There is a gym called Paris nearby, Equinox and Columbia University also not very far away. There are many landmark buildings in this area. You have for instance St. John the Divine Church, which has been under renovation since 1898.
