Catherine Street, between East Broadway & Henry Street, in Chinatown, steps from City Hall
Large loft apartment located on the sixth floor of a prewar walkup building. The building is kept by a security system. The apartment is on the top floor. The apartment is a huge 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom, with white walls, 17 windows and hardwood floors. It is clean, very bright, aerated, with impressive views on the Financial District and the World Trade Center site. The apartment is wired for high speed internet. There is also access to the roof terrace for the summer months.
When you enter the apartment you are in front of the kitchen. The open kitchen is fully equipped with large refrigerator, sink, stove, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, large tables for cooking space, shelves for pots and jars. To your left is the livingroom and the 2 bathrooms. 2 roommates use 1 bathroom and the other 2 use the other so there is not too much waiting. Both bathrooms have windows, South exposed, shower, sink, mirror, WC.
The living room has 2 large windows, South exposed, facing the Financial District. It is a bright and convivial room, furnished with a large, comfortable, gray sofa, a wood coffee table, a dining table in front of the windows, a library, a cable TV with VCR, a phone, a large rug on the gray plywood floor, warm paintings on the walls.
Bedroom#1 is fully furnished. The room is furnished with a double size futon bed, a chair, a hanging rack & shelves for clothes, a nightstand with a lamp, a little table, a mirror, a lot of pictures and drawings on the walls. It is a nice room, very spacious, hardwood floors painted green with an artistic atmosphere. There is a phone jack ready for the phone and a frame on the window if you want to set an A/C unit, and cable box.
The bedroom #2 has a double size bed and 2 large windows that faces the street. There is a large closet, a desk, and a TV with cable. You can see the Williamsburg Bridge and the Brooklyn Bridge from your room. There is a phone jack and high speed Internet available in the room.
The neighborhood is known as Chinatown. This neighborhood has a diverse array of buildings with Chinese styled buildings making you feel that you are truly in China. The restaurants in the area give you an authentic feeling of being somewhere else without having to pay for plane tickets. The neighborhood is famous for its restaurants and lively streets. You will find a lot of exotic shops, banks and stores. The location is 4 blocks from the subway. Also located near the Financial District you have a short commute if you work in Lower Manhattan.
