Studio in Chelsea
Studio Rental located on West 22nd Street, between 9th and 10th Avenue in Chelsea.

One-room studio with private bath located on the ground floor of an owner-occupied 1850's brownstone on a beautiful tree-lined block in the Chelsea Historic District of NYC. Approximately 350 square feet, the studio sleeps three and features a queen-sized bed, twin sized-bed, desk, table and chairs, television, large walk-in closet, and bathroom with a shower and small tub featuring hand-painted Italian floor tiles. This studio is also equipped with a coffee maker, tea kettle and refrigerator.

Sheets, towels and luxurious throw blankets are provided for your stay and there is a small library with an eclectic collection of New York City guides and histories. The studio has its own telephone line and air conditioner.

Well-lighted and spacious, the studio abounds in historical detail, including original shutters for the street-level windows, a decorative fireplace and functioning wall sconces. There is no real kitchen in the apartment, just outside of the room, in a common hallway, are a small refrigerator, coffeemaker and kettle. Enjoy breakfast on the terrace of our lovely garden or in the privacy of your studio.

Several subway lines are located within 2-3 blocks and numerous bus routes pass nearby. The West Chelsea gallery area is one-half block away and the now-trendy Meatpacking district is just a five-minute stroll from the house. The area is home to a wide variety of restaurants, bars and shops.

This location [of the accommodation in Chelsea] was perfect for us. The right size, everything right and clean
This location [of the accommodation in Chelsea] was perfect for us. The right size, everything right and clean, the pictures were not too promising but real. The landlords were there, but we haven't seen them besides when we arrived and when we left. For us it was the better choice and I would not exchange it against a 4 star hotel (ok, I hate staying in hotels and living with their schedule and noise on the floors ...).

My overall rating: excellent!

Location is excellent and accommodation just good enough and quiet.
I will just simply say that everything went fine from a nice welcome from the owners to our departure. Location is excellent and accommodation just good enough and quiet.

The apartment we stayed in was fantastic. Clean and spacious for a studio, with updated and appealing bathroom fixtures.
