Studio Loft in Greewich Village
This studio loft is located on the top floor walk-up of a pre-war building with no elevator in Greenwich Village.

Building: Built as an industrial building in 1890, this six-story loft building is located in a residential corner of historic Greenwich Village. The building is an artists co-op and all residents are involved in the arts as a career or serious pursuit. On a historical note, this unit (when it was industrial space) sold small ship parts to the ship building industry on the Hudson River.

Interior: This unit is bathed in light all day long, as seven large windows face south and west. A wonderful view of Greenwich Street winds south towards Battery Park and the sky is open to the west above the relatively low height of the West Village neighborhood. The loft is furnished to retain a sense of space and simplicity. There is a queen size bed, sofas, dining table with chairs, desk with high speed internet access, flat screen television with cable channels, DVD, VHS and CD players. For those that like to cook, there is a full-size open kitchen with ample cupboards, counter space, stove top, one oven and one broiler, as well as cooking supplies. In the kitchen there is a washer and dryer for your convenience.

The bathroom is spacious and equipped with a bathtub with shower, w/c, sink and a dresser. Towels are provided.

This loft apartment has its own private roof terrace where you can enjoy relaxing in the sun or having dinners at the outdoor table.

The Greenwich or West Village is known for shopping, restaurants, cafes, galleries, bars and for its vicinity to the Hudson River, Washington Square Park, Chelsea and Soho.

I was very pleased with the apartment in Greenwich Village.
I was very pleased with the apartment in Greenwich Village. The owner [of the vacation rental] provided a wealth of information about the area. Check in and Check out were easy and convenient. The vacation rental itself was well located, spacious and with lots of extras like access to the computer/Internet, cable TV and a DVD player. I had everything I could have asked for and more! This is my 3rd stay with New York Habitat. As always, [my agent] responded to my request promptly and efficiently. It is truly a pleasure to work with her.
