The apartment was huge and spectacular, and Park Slope Brooklyn is a really nice neighbourhood - easy to get into Manhattan and out to Coney Island, while being relatively calm, but with great restaurants and amenities.
Aug 24 2011Minor gripes, which explain the average rating, it was definitely a family house, which was lovely, but meant that some bedrooms were clearly children's rooms and the house had limited amenities (eg no cable, no dishwasher).
If you want a cosseted guest experience with top quality linens, doormen and gym access, this isn't for you. If you want a real and elegant family house, in a lovely neighbourhood, with all the attendant anxieties about not eating on the furniture, and where to put the recycling, it's great.
